Free Vintage St. Patricks Day Greeting Cards: Pretty Women

When I think of Irish women, I think of creamy white skin, blue eyes and dark hair. Maybe that's because the limited number of Irish women I knew when I was a child looked like that. That's not the case with this collection of pretty women on vintage St. Patrick's Day greeting cards, though; they all have brown eyes and a few are blonds. And as you might be able to guess from the page title, they're all pretty too.

These pretty Irish women (often called "Irish lasses") on vintage greeting cards come from a range of eras, from the 1800s to the 1930s or 40s. It seems this style of card went out in the early mid-20th Century, because many St. Patrick's Day images produced after that focus more on leprechauns and green beer than pretty women. It looks like before that period Ireland considered a beautiful women pin up as one of their primary exports -- at least when it came to St. Patrick's Day greeting cards and postcards.
