Holiday vintage postcards were highly collectible mostly because of the popularity of famous illustrators/artists of the day and the vintage postcards that they  produced in series. Many Victorian homes had a scrapbook and the Victorians were voracious collectors of paper. These beautiful cards were kept for years as mementos from their friends and family members.
