Violin Notes

Violin Notes are written almost the same way sheet music is written. It is slightly different. The treble clef is the only way violin music is written. They have numbers to tell you which finger to use above each note. With a little practice on reading and learning the notes, it is not as hard as it looks. Here are some tips in learning to play and reading the music of the violin.

When playing the notes always use the treble clef. The spaces are considered to be from bottom to top. The bottom five lines are the E and continuing up to G, D, and F.

There may be numbers above each note. A number represents each finger. The index finger is number one, the middle finger is number two, the ring finger is number three, and the pinky finger is number four. Start with playing the notes with the numbers above them.

You can play what is called the open notes of G, D, A, and E. To play a C scale on the violin, the notes are started below the line of E, which is shown with a line going through it. This is called a lower C. It is played on the first string of the violin, the string farthest to the left. The ring finger, which is number three, is played first. From there you just go up the scale to high C.

The whole steps can be played by simply using the fingers one, two, three, and four in sequence. Start with your ring finger first on the C. Then move on with your pinky finger on the D, index finger on the E, and the middle finger on the F. This goes on and on.

It uses the voice of violin to convey the feelings and emotions of each season of the year, summer, fall, winter, and spring. The spring movement is so popular that it has been used in many movies and commercials; usually ones depicting growth or rebirth.
