visit australia now

Now is the ideal time!
Have you ever wanted to visit Australia? I believe now is a better time than ever to do so. Why now? Isn't there a financial crisis on? That's the reason right there!
As at the writing of this hub, $1US = $1.50AU
For an up to the minute rate, follow this link; http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi
That is self explanatory. You get 50c for every dollar you spend. Not long ago, just before the financial world went pear shaped, the rate was much different. At that time it was about $1.05, pretty much on par, and hardly a bargain. How things have changed, in such a short time!
So, how about it? Would you consider it? I want to "whet your appetite" a little, in case you aren't convinced.
I have lived in this country for 43 years. I have lived elsewhere, for shorter periods, including the US, and to date I am convinced it is the best country to live in ! ! I am not Australian by birth, but by choice, so I have a slightly different perspective. Hopefully more objective. Lets face it, one very recent bit of data shows Australia is one of a very few countries in the world that will experience economic growth(!) during the world financial crisis.!
Seriously, though, I want to give you some of my reasons why it is a great place to visit. You can (obviously) do your own research, specific to your interests and needs.
- Incredibly beautiful
- Friendly people
- Fantastic weather
- White sand beaches
- Kangaroos
- Koalas
- Ayers Rock
- Sydney Opera House
- Australia Zoo
- Great Barrier Reef
- Best beers
- The Outback
Just to name a few.
Our crime rates are VERY low, so you can feel safe. Our beaches are patroled by lifeguards, so you shouldn't drown. Our foods are influenced by the multicultural society, and you are sure to find something familiar and something new. "Have you ever eaten crocodile, or kangaroo, or emu meat? How about Barramundi (one of the tastiest fish in the world)"?
Don't forget, we gave the world some very famous people and such.
- Crocodile Dundee
- The Crocodile Hunter
- Nicle Kidman
- Russel Crowe
- Cricket
- Rugby League (well maybe not)
- "G'Day Mate"
- Greg Norman
- The Meat Pie
- Fosters
- Wine
- Budgies, Cockatoo's etc.
We speak a version of english most people can still understand. (you won't need subtitles). Don't wait any longer. Just like the Nike motto, "JUST DO IT" NOW!
We had a television campaign recently, that was promoting tourism in the Northern Territory to the rest (of us) "Aussies". The caption was " You will never, never know, if you never, never go".
I guarantee you, we'll make you feel welcome. (Well, I will, if I see you! )
