Do anti wrinkle creams work?

This article will tell you all about Vitamin A and C in anti aging creams, and the benefits to using a vitamin based face cream to get rid of wrinkles and deep lines around the mouth. forehead, and eyes. I have written a few reviews like Prevera anti wrinkle cream, how to reduce wrinkles on the face, and the best anti eye wrinkle cream. If like me you are very sceptical of these so called claims of vanishing wrinkles for good then you may be right in your thinking as I have found most of them useless in the reduction of facial wrinkles.

Although there are some good skin care products out there, I would be very dubious about such claims as completely reducing wrinkles and deep lines. I have used lots of facial skin care products and spent thousands over the years on cheap, and expensive anti aging creams which hold promises of changing my life and regaining my youthful glow.

Anti aging wrinkle care with Vitamin C and A

I am not trying to sell you an anti wrinkle solution, so you can rest assured my review for Vitamin A and C creams is from my own experiences and based on facial products I have used and like. I have written more reviews for anti aging creams which you are free to read, and you will find in the column to your right, but not before reading about the benefits of using Vitamin based creams, as my other reviews are not for these. Vitamins found in face creams are different to the ones found in food because for obvious reasons you will not eat them but use them to nourish the outside of your body.

Vitamin C anti aging creams

Most skin care companies are trying to find new ingredients to go into there anti aging face creams as they need to keep on top of the game and offer customers new and exciting products. The competition is immense for the best anti aging creams. Vitamin C creams has been around for a long time, and in my opinion has outlasted them all. Liposomes are now used a great deal in the newer anti aging skin products, as they are filled with active ingredients to penetrate the skin and release their contents deep down into the wrinkles where they are most needed.

Whilst Vitamin C has been tested scientifically and does have a profound effect on the anti aging process it does not mean that al anti agingl creams with this ingredient actual works. I believe you do get what you pay for, although some top leading anti aging creams that charge around the $200 dollar mark have been out done by cheap creams like Olay regenerist according to US consumer reports.

All about vitamin C for wrinkles and skin aging

  • Collagen is a key structure of skin, and Vitamin C helps to increase the natural collagen in our cells.
  • There is a good chance when Vitamin C is applied to the skin cells, for it to dramatically reduce signs of aging caused by free radicals, sun damage being one example.
  • Vitamin C in anti aging face creams can become contaminated by air, so poor storage of your cream could result in the product having no effect at all.
  • Look out for your anti aging cream turning yellow as this is a sign that the cream has oxidised and will no longer work. Some companies use colourants so people like me and you will not spot the change in colour. (crafty ey!!!!)
  • Use Vitamin C creams that are either colourless or white as this way you will be able to detect if the product has been contaminated before it has reached you. This is very common for anti wrinkle creams to arrive at your door already useless. A very valid point for you to consider when purchasing your anti aging cream cream.
  • Choose a reliable source and check the expiry date if you can.
  • Try and find out about the storage of your anti aging cream, as most will say either keep in a cool dry place etc.
  • You could try making your own Vitamin C skin care product. I will be writing an article on this soon.
  • Remember taking vitamin C orally will have no effect on reducing the wrinkles on your face because you will not be able to intake enough of the concentrated ingredient.

Vitamin A for wrinkles and skin aging

You may not know that retinol and retinyl palmitate are the most common ingredients found in anti aging skin care products and are in fact forms of vitamin A. Retinoic acid is Vitamin A's active meatabolite and is the ingredient which helps to reduce the signs of aging. In fact when Vitamin A is used our bodies can convert vitamin into retonic acid which is fantastic news for the lovers of vitamin A creams. A lot of top brands have both vitamins introduced to there skin care range and when optimized for performance will in fact give a huge benefit to those of us wishing to prolong the aging process.

All about vitamin A in anti aging creams

  • Always check that the anti aging vitamin product contains sufficient amounts of retinol and retinyl palmitate.
  • Some people will benefit more from vitamin A according to the levels of retinioc acid produced by our bodies.
  • Again the anti aging vitamin cream must be stored and used as directed from the manufacturer to ensure it does not become contaminated.
  • Once again you can make your own Vitamin A anti wrinkle solution and I will be writing about ways to do this also.
  • As with any product, vitamin A should not be used if side effects occur.
  • Vitamin A has been scientifically proven to counteract the signs of aging, but there isn't a skin care product I have tried or heard of that will completely remove wrinkles else we would all be walking around looking 18 years old.
  • Follow instructions carefully on how to apply the product as it may not work if you are not prepared to use the recommended amount.

Vitamin A, and Vitamin C  anti aging creams really do work for wrinkles as long as we make sure we are buying a good recommended product from companies we know and trust.

Vitamin C and A are the best for the skin. Skin care is very essential as dry skin may lead to skin disorders as well. Very informative hub.

there are many creams that claim to contain A and C ,but really how do we actually know how much retinol they contain.?i have been using 1 such cream for my hands(yes my hands are cack ) ,this particular cream claim that their cream contains the highest amount of retinol, and yet after many months,i see absolutely no difference.

Yes this is the problem as we never really know how much they are putting in, but I suggest going with a reputable company and doing a little research first. There are good creams out there with these ingredients but as you said for the cream to work the levels of Retinol needs to be high. You do get what you pay for in most cases but not all. Vitamin A and C are still the best for anti ageing.
