How do you make a volcano for a science fair?
66Science Fair Volcanoes
My brother decided to make such a project for a science fair many
years ago. The standard form back then was using wire mesh, some
plaster or paper mache, paint, a tin can, baking soda, and vinegar.
Of course, winning first prize with such a project isn't common as it is a
common project. It will do though, if one just wants to make a project to
be in the fair or it is a required part of the class and one will get a grade
on it.
One of my favorite sites has a couple of articles available on how to make
these standard volcanoes:

Another way to make such a project is to use mentos instead of the baking
soda and soda instead of vinegar such as diet coke. You can also make
it out of food products for a more creative effect and eat it when done if
you so choose. The recipe for this is below:

I hope that one of the articles above will suit your needs for making your
science project!
