Fish tank aquariums can be a real addition to any room in the house, if you don't have the space to house your own natural environment there are alternative methods, don't worry. Wall mounted aquariums allow you to enjoy the beauty of a tropical or marine experience without taking up any of your valuable desk space.

Wall mounted aquariums come in a range of sizes and shapes, the only limitation is your own ideas. Many manufacturers cater to these types of fish tank aquariums, you can find these products directly by doing a little searching online, most reputable companies will deliver for a reasonable price.

Of course, you can't just purchase a wall mounted aquarium and be done with it, you will probably need to get a tank water heater, light and water filter if the system doesn't already include these features. PH test kits are also recommended to beginners who will probably have a bit of trouble at first getting the the water levels correct.

Why do you need to test the PH level? Well, depending on what type of aquarium you are constructing, it's vital either way to get the natural environmental spot on. The smaller the body of water, the faster the PH levels can fluctuate (bigger tanks are recommended for new comers).

Once you have selected your fish tank aquarium, the only real decision is to what to stock it with, freshwater (tropical) or saltwater (marine) fish? Both have their one specialties, many hobbyists eventually care for both types of fish. Freshwater fish tanks are usually the more desired option for first timers, although films like Finding Nemo have made keeping saltwater fish like clown fish very popular.

It's considered fair to say that you should stock your fish tank with one inch of adult (fully grown) fish for every gallon of water - A 50 gallon fish tank can hold 50 inches of fish. This may not seem a lot, and more uneducated fish tank beginners over fill their tanks and usually end up over feeding their pets - both causing serious health problems and raised ammonia levels.

Wall mounted fish tank aquariums (or any aquarium for that matter) are great features when cared for properly, it's important to know and accept the maintenance and cleaning that goes into keeping these pets before investing money and time into an unsuccessful adventure.
