warrior dps build world of warcraft
53Let me start off by saying that warriors have a great potential to go sustained damage comparable to and if not better than any class equally equipped. Warriors scale with gear better than any class on the game. With that said lets start on where to put the talent poings and why.
Arms 1) 5 points in deflection- Deflection is important because it gives the warrior a higher survivability, and being able to survive is the best way to doing sustained dps. As the saying goes "a good dpser is a live dpser".
2) 2 points in improved charge- This talent gives the warrior a good amount of rage to begin the battle with. The warriors weakest point is at the start of the battle due to a lack of rage.
3) 3 points in improve thunder clap- This is one of those filler points that can be replaced. This gives you warrior better pvp abilities and a little off tanking abilities.
4) 1 point in improved overpower- This is another filler point, but can be handy when fighting rogues in pvp. 5) 1 point in anger management- This point will actually be one of the best spent points. The one rage adds up over the longer fights and can actually result in a large amount of damage.
6) 3 points in deep wounds- this point seems a little wasted, but it does good damage over time and is a required point to get to impale.
7) 2 points in impale- This is the reason you put any points in the arms tree. This talent alone will increase you dps by a hung margin and will give you a little edge in pvp.
Fury 1) 5 points in cruelty- This increased you crit by 5% which is huge due to the idea that fury warriors should be crit machines.
2) 5 points in unbridled wrath- This talent will not show its worth in quick battles but will be worth its weight in gold in the longer boss fights.
3) 5 points in commanding presence- This talent significantly improves you buff, which not only helps you but helps any person that is doing physical damage to the target.
4) 5 points in duel wield specialization- These points are very well spent and you will be able to see the damage increase from the start to the end. Remember the more white damage you do the more rage you will build.
5) 1 point in improved execute- Execute is the best move that a warrior packs. On the raid bosses just as the mages are running out of manna the target hits 20% and you take the spotlight. Warriors have been recorded doing 3000+ dps in the last one minuet of battle and I have personally saw 10000+ crits back to back to back. Over powered, Yes.
6)5 points in enrage- Even this talent almost never procs in PVE it is useful for PVP and is a required point for Flurry.
7) 1 point in death wish- This 2 min cool down move is a life saver on the damage meters. If you time it right it can be used every pull in any raid or most 5 mans.
8) 5 points in flurry- The bread and butter of and pve warriors dps. This talent increased damage and rage generation and allows the warrior to compete for the tops spot on any dps meter.
9) 3 points in precision- This talent is very useful seeing how +hit is very important to fury warriors and they never seem to get enough of it.
10) 1 point in blood thirst- This talent is the main dps maker of the build and should be used after battle shout and rampage is popped.
11) 2 points in improved whirlwind- Whirlwind is the only other dps move that is worth while without stance dancing. The 2 sec less cool down makes the move even more viable to dps with.
12) 5 points in improved berserker stance- The whole reason a warrior scales so well with gear is because of attack power. This talent gives the capability of hitting close to 3000 AP with self buffs only.
13)1 point in rampage- Last but not least is rampage. Rampage is a great talent and can easily be kept in rotation. The 30 sec buff will give you a huge edge over other melee's in the long run.
