In these hard economic times, getting the most enjoyment out of watching your favorite football team play without emptying your wallet is a topic on a lot of people’s minds.  Look no further: Gamergirl brings you the best information on how to save money enjoying the games you love.  In 2008 the NFL provided streaming video of many of the season's games, but in 2009 they're taking one step beyond any prior efforts.

NFL Sunday Night Football

Want to watch your NFL team play their games over the internet, for free, in HD (high definition)?  Look no further than NBCSports.com and NFL.com for free viewing of not only the standard games, but also Blacked-Out games!  You’ll have to make sure your computer has the proper software downloaded by visiting both sites and trying out their media player.

Blacked out games will be available beginning at midnight on the night of the applicable game, up to 72 hours afterward.  So catch these games early on after the game day, or else you will miss them completely.

Watch the game at a Sports Bar

If you’re a true football enthusiast, you know where to go in your town to drink a beer and catch the game.  A truly savvy pigskin fan will know to look for a bar featuring special food and drink specials during the game, and bring along friends.  For example:  Hooter's rolls out menu items and prices geared to the football fan - Loaded Chips for $4.99, Prime Rib sandwiches for $8.99, and more.  Plus you're served by the Hooters girls.  Football, food and beautiful women - sounds like a good night for many sports fans.
