When John Cena won the Royal Rumble 2008 match entering at the #30 spot, he then challenge Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at No Way Out and not in WrestleMania. Orton got himself intentionally disqualified during the match and retained the WWE Championship. Triple H also defeated five other contenders at No Way Out in an Elimination Chamber match to earn a shot at the WWE Championship against Randy Orton at WrestleMania, but John Cena argued that he deserved another shot at the WWE Championship due to the way his match with Orton ended. It then became a triple threat match for the WWE Championship with Cena, Orton, and Triple H as the main protagonists.

The Living Deadman will also face the Rated R Superstar in the card. The Undertaker earned a title match against Edge at WrestleMania.

One of the most awaited and bizarre match of Wrestlemania 24 is between David and Goliath. Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather Jr, boxing's million dollar man, goes up against The Big Show. This wrestlemania, we will see if pretty boy has what it takes to topple down his biggest adversary so far in the ring.

Shawn Michaels will go up against the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee Ric Flair with the Nature Boy's career hanging on the line. The Heart Break Kid accepted the match upon the insistence of Ric Flair. This match will cerainly be a "Natural Show Stopper".

Umaga representing RAW will go against SmackDown's biggest superstar Batista in an interpromotional "RAW vs SmackDown" match. Both Umaga and The Animal will be fighting for bragging rights as which brand have the superior fighters in their stable.

The fourth annual Money in the Bank ladder match would also take place with superstars competing from SmackDown, RAW and ECW. The winner will challenge for any of the 3 WWE World Championships at anytime they want for a period of 1 year.

A twenty-four man battle royal among ECW fighters will also take place with the winner earning a crack to face ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero.
