When you buy a water can the first thing you need to think about is how large do you need it to be. If you have lots of outside watering of garden plants, then a larger water can will do the trick. But if you've got lots of inside plants, that are overhead, then you need a smaller and lighter one that can be lifted to water those plants.

You should also consider the spout length and width. If you have plants with dense foliage and don't want to get the leaves wet, this is more easily accomplished with a long and narrow spout.

I love the way copper looks on my potting bench, so I have a small copper watering can, for keeping houseplants happy. But when I'm working outside, I have a large, ultra-light plastic watering can to lug around. I opted for a large handle because I like the way those feel when I'm carrying water.

Here's a nice selection of watering cans, I'm sure you'll find the one that's right for your gardening and watering needs. Thank you for visiting this site, Nelle.
