The first idea I would like to share is perfect for high school kids or college students with connections to their high school. The idea stems from my own high school days.We were only allowed 3 dances a year. Everyone enjoyed them but there wasn't enough for the long school year. So I came up with an idea, what if I throw one myself? The way you could go about doing this is finding a place like the YMCA that would be willing to rent out their space for your dance. Then go around school and advertise the dance. You could even do this on Facebook these days. You could charge a fee of x amount and just factor in the cost of snacks, water, music and rent. There may also be a security deposit. Start selling tickets right away so you have the money you need up front. As the word spreads of the dance/party you will probably have to tell people "sorry there is already the max amount of people" Make sure to find out all your costs and the maximum number of people your room will hold. Ideally you would then set your ticket price based on the amount of profit you would like to make.Advertising will be key. Remember the more people that come, the more money for you! There are so many high schools, middle schools, even elementary schools you could do this with that the potential for a profit is huge! In today's economy the unknown is the big issue. Its hard to predict how the economy as a whole will react to the stimulus plans, how the war in the middle east will end, and the recent swine flu pandemic. unemployment is hovering around 10% and the stock market is up one day then drops dramatically the next. Everything is uncertain and to some scary, however for me i look at it as a great opportunity to make money. If you haven't already invested and can afford to do so the time is now. Here's how i look at it looking back through history when prices drop eventually through time they will go back to around were they were to begin with. For example my aunt sold her house for $500,000 about 6 years ago when the market was booming. That same house just sold again for $200,000. Knowing how the market has both ups and down the people who just bought the house are now holding a potential money maker. Lets say in 5 years the prices go back to where they were, now they just made $300,000. This example is happening all over i remember my dad growing up always use to say man "i could have bought that beach property for $75,000" now that same property is going for $400,000. The human race is going to continue to grow and places to live are going to disappear. Real estate is always a safe investment for the most part especially when we are at lows now and even the government passed a bill where they pay you i believe like $6,000 if your a first time home buyer as an incentive to buy. Properties are being foreclosed upon and sold like there's no tomorrow and if you can afford to buy and aren't in a hurry there could be huge payoffs. Another example of this is someone i know just recently put a offer in for a apartment complex not thinking they would accept it. A few weeks later gets a call saying we would just like you to know your offer went through. He couldn't believe he was able to get 15 rental properties for the price of one cheap town house. However no one else wanted it.

Getting out of a recession

For those of us who don't understand what it takes to get out of a recession sitting around and doing nothing isn't necessarily the best way. In order to stimulate an economy people need to spend money the problem is people are being laid off and having trouble finding jobs. which instead causes people to save money and not invest which is one of the hard parts about getting out of a recession. that's why president Obama stimulus incentives are designed to get people to spend money. they even give out "free" money, the idea is based off a money multiplier theory. Which means if the government was to give out 200 billion dollars and then people went out and spent that. Others would be selling which then allows them to profit and have to go out and buy more product. which then leads the same thing over and over again. essentially through buying and selling that 200 billion would have been turned into 800 billion and increased the need for jobs and help stabilize the economy. People are accusing Obama methods as a waste of money etc.. and yes some of them could be but we may not know for a few years because it usually takes about two years to see any changes. The first signs of improvement is seeing the unemployment rate getting lower back between 4% and 6%. Right now the United states is in a lot of debt and continues to go further in with all the money we keep printing and handing out through stimulus. There is a catch to printing so much money for example in Zimbabwe they are going through whats called hyper inflation. this is when there's to much printed money and everyone has lots of it. this causes outrageous prices and shortages. they would have people kill other people because there wasn't enough bread to go around and you had to sometimes wait in line a few hours to get a loaf. I seriously doubt that will happen to the United States but its a possibility if we keep going further and further in debt and printing money with no value backing it.

• offer to pick stuff up for others
• host party's and charge people
• you could start up your own business selling anything from shirts, pens, cups, etc...
• set up a booth and charge people to "tell you off" it sounds dumb but people will get a kick from it
