ways to kill boredom

Why do people get bored?

I honestly really do not know what it means to get bored. When people say that they are bored i usually ask why?  Then I say, with close to 7,000,000,000 people on the planet and all this technology you have nothing to do, I find that puzzling.  I do not have time to get bored, I find entertainment in just about everything, because I am usually always questioning why we humans do some to the things that we do.

Thinking is the first way to kill boredom that I know.  I am usually walking around with a smile on my face thinking some out of this world thoughts. I like to study all the different subjects that I can find.

Then finding some people that you trust and are not afraid to be yourself with to share those thoughts and idea is so much fun.  Sharing ideas, dreams, life stories, and activities with others is what life is about according to this author.  there is never enough time to spend with good friends.

Reading is another way to kill boredom, find as many books to read and pass the time reading.  Envision yourself as one of the main characters having an adventure.  Then when you are done reading try to make an adventure of your own and write about you personal adventure.  It could be something like horse back riding, skydiving, running a marathon, taking karate, cooking a new meal, all things I have done.  Reading the works of other people will help to expand your mind and that should help kill boredom.

Another one of my favorite ways to kill boredom is to take up an art. Writing poetry is what I like to do in my spare time.  Then I would try to put my poetry all over the Internet and share it with other people.  Sketching, painting, learning to write music, singing, dancing are other nice artistic forms that helps pass the time in a pleasant manner.

You need to know you own nature to make what every you are going to do to pass the time enjoyable. For example, if you like consistency then find a few things that you like to do on  your own and engage in those activities.  Then when you are comfortable find others who find those same activities enjoyable and make their association.  When you feel "bored" give one of them a call, the activity is the connection so you should have either something to talk about or something to do together.

If you like to challenge yourself, then try meeting one new persona a day.  I mentioned that there are close to seven billion people on this planet.  Sincerely attempt to get to know who they are and share life stories with each other. If that does not suit you, find a sport to engage in when you feel bored.  If you are not athletic then go to the movies and pass the time that way, or even better write your own movie.

Challenge your imagination, what can you think up on your own.  Imagine a world that is unique just to yourself.  Who would be in charge of the world?  What would the world look like in the greatest detail you can imagine?  What would be the purpose of life in the world that you create in your mind?  What type of life species would a person find in your world? How big would your world be relative to you? This is one of my favorite things to do in my "spare time".

Here is a suggestion:  take a nice long walk on a clear night and look at the stars.  Take your mind off of this planet and look to the stars. Try to connect with the greater existence.  Hopefully your will get the appreciation that I have for life and that alone keeps me from being bored. The people that came before use saw those same stars and used them to help keep track of time.

Ultimately, from my experience and the experience or others that I have encountered in my travels,  a person must have a purpose. If you know your purpose and love you purpose then you live for that purpose and you will never get bored.  You would have that life's mission and it will be a companion keeping you company. Talking with you, guiding you.  Full your mission, what ever it may be in this world, that is how you kill boredom.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Skip It THE PROGRAM Uwe Boll's "Far Cry" should have been a slam-dunk to direct, given the source material's story lite, action heavy depth. Boll's output is a technically sound mediocre action piece that is begins a slow death upon the introduction of the film's hero, Jack Carver (Til Schweiger). The premise of the game is a perfect match for the insanity of a mid-80s Golan-Globus production ...
