The Web 2.0 phenomenum is all about connecting with people. So, to do this right, you wiill have to join these communities with the intention of being a social member of the group.
Join a group which has the same interests as you. If you are a network marketer, join a group that you may fit in with, like business people, or mothers, or stay at home parents. If you are involved in the 'wellness industry, join a community with that kind of interest too.
If you are not sure what kind of group, think about the kinds of people who would value your business or product, and do a search for them. Then it is just a matter of joining their group.
Do a brainstorm of the issues and interests that you think your designated group would have, and post articles that provide solutions to their issues. Offer something of vaue, and offer it freely.
Leave compliments and valid comments to the articles and sites of other people in your social group, and occassionally leave a link back to your site that has a related post on it. Do not over post your links. Be a real person. Let others get to know you.
