Web 2.0 Submitter - Harness The Power Of Web 2.0

Authority Black Book 2.0 For 2008
What Power?
If you don't already know, Web 2.0 is the new generation of web sites that rely on social networking and the use of "tags" and "keyword clouds" to spread the word and share websites, news, stories, and applications that other people find useful and interesting.
That is not an exact definition so to speak but is what Web 2.0 has come to mean for most people and Internet marketers that use it as a "buzz" word. Examples are MySpace, YouTube, Squidoo, Gather, Netscape, Technorati, Digg, and of course Hub pages.
This is a very limited list, but includes some of the most well known. There are literally thousands of these types of sites popping up and I don't have the room nor the energy to list them all here. (click here for a big list)
The intricate way that these types of sites use tags and the viral nature of spreading information via "word of mouth", makes them an incredibly powerful tool for Internet marketers or anybody that is attempting to get better search engine rankings and drive traffic to their websites.
Jack Humprey is considered one of the foremost experts on the Web 2.0 phenomenon and how to use it to drive incredible amounts of traffic and boost the authority and rank of your website or blog. He is the creator of Web 2.0 Submitter and also the author of the famous Authority Black Book, which was the most downloaded e-book of 2007.
The black book is considered to be the Web 2.0 bible. Jack has recently released an upgraded version for 2008 that you would be wise to add to your Internet marketing arsenal. You can download the Authority Black Book 2.0 right her for free.

Web 2.0 Submitter
Web 2.0 Submitter is a time saving tool that allows you to harness the power that I discussed above. Before we go any further let me make it clear that this is not a spamming tool! It is 100% "white hat". The reason I am making this statement is because there are tools that create 100's of fake accounts and mass submit links to the social bookmarking sites. This is not one of them.
The basic strategy that has been proven to tremendously boost your search engine rankings and get your website an incredible amount of exposure, involves the use of blogs and social news sites. You will also use social bookmarking, but the real power is in the news sites like Netscape.
The reason for this is because of a transference of "page rank". When you make a comment or post on a blog with a link to your website, it creates a backlink to your website. This backlink will let page rank from the blog bleed through to your website. This is not really anything special in itself, unless the blog has a very high page rank.
The technique used to make this very powerful is as follows:
- You make your post or comment to a blog with your anchor text link to your website. Make sure you enter tags that are keywords targeted to your website.
- You then submit this post to Onlywire.com which creates backlinks to over 15 different social bookmaking sites simultaneously.
- You then submit your post to Netscape, Digg, Reddit, Plime, Shout Wire, Stumble Upon, and any of the other social news sites.
Ok, what have we just accomplished? Netscape has a page rank of 8. The others have a page rank of 7. If you know anything about page rank then you realize the power of this. Most websites are lucky to reach a page rank of 4. With that said, you have just created backlinks to your website that are page rank 8's and 7's.
Not only have you created powerful backlinks that are going to increase the page rank value of your website, you have created mini classified ads to your website that thousands of people are going to see. I have had my post submissions in Netscape show up in the Google search results ahead of my website! This occurred within a couple of days after posting.
I hope you see the incredible power of this technique. The only draw back is that it can be very time consuming to make all of these submissions. That is where Web 2.0 Submitter comes into play. The tool was designed especially for this purpose and automates a huge part of the process thus saving you hours and hours of time. Follow the link to see a free demo of Web 2.0 Submitter in action.

Take Your Web 2.0 SEO To An Even Higher Level
I read a statistic that about 75% of the traffic to hub pages is from other hub page users. I am going to assume that if you are reading this, there is a good chance that you are using Hub pages. I use the Web 2.0 techniques mentioned above to promote my affiliate pages as well as my Hub pages and you should too.
But lets take it up a couple notches. Are you using Squidoo? There is probably a good chance. I find that most people come to Hubpages.com after they have found Squidoo. The truth is that a lot of the good real estate is already used up at Squidoo because it is more popular.
By real estate, I am reffering to the URL's. It is not imperative, but helps boost your rankings if your Hub page or Squidoo page includes the keyword that you are targeting. For instance, http://www.squidoo.com/web-20-submitter or http://www.hub.pagescom/hub/web-20-submitter.
I have found that seperating words in a keyword phrase with hypens works better than underscores or no spaces at all. There is much debate on this subject and I am sure there are people who disagree with me on this, but I think if you consider all search engines and not just Google then this is the way to go.
Anyhow the key here is that you include your keywords in your URL. If you are not using Squidoo, then go set up a lens right now on the same topic as your Hub page. Make sure that there are links on both to each other. You will find that Squidoo has much more flexibility with photos and HTML.
You can make your photos clickable and postition them where you want. You can also change the color of your text. Actually, there are lots of ebooks and sites that show you how to really boost the SEO of your Squidoo lens and get a ton of traffic. The best of these which I highly recommend is Squidoo Secrets by Bob "The Teacher" Jenkins.
The truth is that almost all of these techniques can be applied to Hub pages as well except where you are limited by the "no html" restrictions. The biggest point that I want to make is that if you have a website, you should have a blog, a Hub page, and a Squidoo lens that all cover the same topic and have links to each other. Mainly you want to point the links at your website that you are trying to optimise.
Blogs carry a lot of weight on there own and both Hub and Squidoo have a page rank of 6. By creating pages on Squidoo and Hub that are "keyword targeted" to the same topic and linking to your website, you can really boost your search engine rankings. Keep in mind this does not happen overnight.
If you use the blog post and submit technique you can speed up the process immensely and drive a lot of addition traffic to your web site. You will also see that you have multiple results in the search engines with time. You will have a listing for your Hub page, Squidoo page, your blog, your website, and multiple listings for your news stories that you submitted to Netscape, Digg, etc...
Web 2.0...Submit To Blog Carnivals
Skeptical? Here Is A Perfect Example
Here is a case in point to show you the power of using this technique. Keep in mind that I just recently started promoting Web 2.0 Submitter. It had only been on the market for about 6 weeks. I created a Squidoo page about 3 weeks ago and this Hub page is 3 days old. The date of writing this capsule is 7/29/07.
Go to Google and type in Web 2.0 Submitter. Don't use and brackets or quotes we will do a broad search. (If you use quotes, which is an exact search, my results are even better). Ok, at time of writing, there are 778,000 results given on Google.
My Squidoo lens is # 2 and my Hub lens is # 4. How many of your websites are on the first page? I'm not bragging, I just want you to see the incredible power of this technique. I still can't believe that this hub page got indexed in 2 days let alone make the first page. I have links from my Squidoo lens and I used Web 2.0 Submitter one time on a post that I made to my Traffic Hits Multiplier Blog which is fairly new and has a page rank of 0 at present.
Pretty cool huh? That is just the beginning. On the third page of Google results, I have a link to the Netscape submission that I made and a direct link to my blog. I didn't expect that one but it is probably because of the title of the post. Did I mention the importance of the post or comments title? Always try to use your keyword phrase, but make sure it doesn't sound awkward.
I am really going to go to work this coming week with my promotions of this tool. By the time you read this, my rankings will almost assuredly be higher and I will have many more listings through Digg, Reddit, and the rest.
What Are You Doing With Web 2.0...Twitter
Using Web 2.0 to create traffic and/or back links to your website can be a bit intimidating at first. You have to be careful as an Internet marketer because a lot of these sites are on the lookout for anything resembling spam and will cancel your account in a heartbeat.
You need to take some time and get familiar with the inner workings of the community and the "lingo". Every one of these kinds of sites seems to have its own form of slang. I would like to recommend Twitter to anyone just starting out in the Web 2.0 world. Of course any one who blogs or uses Myspace is a Web 2.0'er but I am talking about sites like Digg, Clipmarks, and Plime.
Twitter is the latest craze going on the Web 2.0 scene and is very easy to use. You make simple one or two sentence statements (140 characters called "tweets") that answer the simple question...What are you doing?
There are already a bunch of widgets and plugins, my favorite being "Twitter Tools" for wordpress. Every time I make a blog post it automatically makes a tweet for me with a link to the post. Did I mention Twitter carries a page rank 8? Nice link love...hint, hint.
Like all web 2.0 sites, don't abuse the system. Be a part of the community and interact with the members. Have fun! Just make sure you throw in the occasional plug for your websites and programs. Subtlety is the name of the game when it comes to Web 2.0.
