Traffic, Easy Traffic, More Traffic? Truth about Website Traffic.

Ever hear of Free Website Traffic? Do you think these companies will give you free website traffic? There is no thing as free traffic. There is no such thing as easy traffic. There is only one kind of traffic and it’s called traffic. All traffic you get to your sites are made possible by some degree of work and effort. Just on a discussion post a user stated:

“…but I'd like to know in the simplest, shortest, paint by numbers with no need to understand why, ten things to do to get traffic with no effort LOL.”

This quote is direct, nothing changed. I feel bad to the person who wrote it because this isn’t possible. If you don’t understand why and you give no effort, you can never get more then a couple page views. There are ways to increase your traffic and get more traffic per day on your Hubs, Sites, Blogs, etc. First, lets look at what traffic implies.

Obtaining traffic to your sites isn’t an easy, simple task. It can never be simple and easy-everyone wishes it would, and thus is why companies have you pay them to do this for you. The problem is, is that we don’t understand what “Traffic” takes to go to your site. Sure, we all know it comes from search engines, links, and other sources. What we don’t get is how all of that keys into getting us page views. Here is what really goes into traffic and all traffic has at least one of these, often combines some of them or all of them:

-Hard Work

-Effort

-Tech Savvy

-Fame

-Time

-Hard Work- This takes all the content, the making accounts on bookmarking sites and social networking sites, its basically whatever you do at its core. The more hard work you put into your Hubs/sites and your advertising campaign, the more traffic you will get.

-Effort-Now you have the accounts you need to submit your links with good descriptions, you need to make your fan club on social networking sites, you need to change your content from time to time, and you need to update anything that needs updating.

-Tech Savvy- This is the most important when it comes to search engine traffic. You need to learn how to SEO (search engine optimization) your Hubs\ Sites. You need to know about meta tags, and keywords, and where to put them, and how different elements to your page gives you page rank and gets you high spots on the search engines.

-Fame- This one could do it alone. If your famous and on tv and a star or really good at something all you need to do is tell people you have a site, just state it. From then on your fan base or followers will all go to your sites and tell others about your sites and that’s a great way to get a lot of traffic…its hard to get fame though.

-Time- The longer your Hub or Site is out the more relevant it becomes and the better searches come up. Not only that you start to get dedicated readers and people who suggest your site to others. No matter what you do to try to get traffic it will take time. Most things like Hubs, if updated and kept nicely will increase views for there lifetime. Remember the famous saying, “only time will tell.”

There are many other things built in, but these are five of the main ones. Combine all of them and you may be able to get millions of page views a month!

Don’t despair, there are ways to get more traffic to your site using effort and hard work and everything listed. These ways will really work, but be warned, it is not easy and it takes time and effort to complete. Anyway, if your willing to WORK for your traffic these are ways to get more traffic:

Social Bookmarking and Social Network Sites- Make accounts on sites like StumbleUpon, Digg, Del.icio.us, and other Social Bookmarking Sites to generate some traffic from them. Also making a MySpace or Facebook for yourself and getting a fan base going will help you get traffic!

Activeness- Join communities on forums and be active on them. Link to your Hubs and Hubpage profile. By staying active and making good posts people will follow your links.

Web Circle- Got a website or Hub about Lawn Care? Does it have something a lot of sites don’t? Some secret or helpful tips not found elsewhere? Try to contact Lawn Care webmasters and see if you can get them to link to your Hub. Some people have done this, not many and it is hard to do, sometimes you can buy a spot on a site but make sure you don’t end up losing money! There are a lot of free Web Circles out there you can join.
