So you need a website for your business and now the only problem is how can you find a good Miami website designer. Here are my tips on this subject.

1. Don't shop by price. If you needed open heart surgery in Miami would you look for the cheapest heart surgeon? Would you ask them to submit bids? The price you pay for a website is nothing compared with the money you'll lose by having the wrong website. Over time a properly designed website will PAY for itself in new business that it will bring you. Cheap designers charge less because they know how little their services are worth.
2. See what other business types have used the services of the website designer you are thinking of hiring. If you are a lawyer this doesn't mean that you'd only want to hire a website design company that works with a lot of lawyers. You want to find versitility in a Miami website design firm otherwise all the websites look too much like only the business name has been changed.
3. Ask about SEO or search engine optimization. More than that look for examples of the website design firms SEO. For example if you go to google.com and search for "full service ad agency" you'll find our company because we know how to build websites properly. Notice that you don't even need to search by the name of the city to find us. We are NOT in the pay-per-click section, we are in the free section because we built the website properly. What good is a website that nobody can find?
4. Look at website design examples from the company you are considering. Do the design examples look professional?
5. How responsive is the website development company that you are considering? Did they show up on time for the intial appointment with you? Do they return your phone calls, do they respond to e-mail?
6. Hire a professional website design company that has a REAL office; you know the kind made of bricks NOT a virtual office. We meet all too many clients that tell us about the deposit they gave someone else who they can't find now. A company with a real office is one that can't hide from you.
7. Ask a website design company about any well known businesses that have hired them. Bigger businesses often have committies of people that review each website development firm before they select one.
8. Ask the website designers about the most complex website they've ever made. This is important even if you only need the most basic website. Basic websites get ruined all the time by incompetent programmers. If they can build websites with complex database functions then they are much more likely to be albe to handle simpler websites with ease.
9. Find out about hosting for your website. Will the designer send you off to find hosting elsewhere or do they provide this service. A more established website design firm will own their own web hosting servers. This way hosting, e-mail, design and programming issues that may need to be resolved can be handled with one phone call to the same company.
10. Meet with the website developers in person, in their Miami office. If they don't have an office please see number 6 above. This face-to-face meeting will give you a good feel for what the company and the people you'll be working with is all about.
