Some rules to improve your website performance

  • Decrease the number of images,script and css calls there are
  • Optimize image size. Keep them as small as possible
  • Move css into the head area of your pages
  • Move script to the bottom of the page where possible
  • Where using dynamic web pages - don't concentrate on making your html page load in 20ms. Concentrate on the big picture
  • Keep the number of html tags on a page to a minimum
  • Set expires headers on content
