Rule 1. 1 Strategy For 1 Website

There is more than 1 ways to make money from your website. You can do affiliate marketing, AdSense advertising, Build your own products, eBay and many more. However, the important thing is to choose a method and stick with it. You cannot be the master of all trades, by trying to do everything; you'll end up with nothing. Every successful internet marketer start by focusing on only 1 strategy. You must also do the same, choose a strategy you are comfortable with and stick with it.

Rule 2. Spend At Least 2 Hours On Your Website Everyday

You must spend time on your website, there is no way your website can generate income if you don't do anything to it. The problem is many people started a website, spend a few days doing some pages, then they forgot about it and hope it will beings in some cash. This will never work because you need to constantly monitor your website, tweak it and change the content to make it interesting to your visitors. If you don't spend time on your website, you don't know what went wrong. You need to just login to your website regularly and see how you can improve it.

Rule 3. Focus On 3 Traffic Generating Methods Only

Let face it, nobody can do everything. Like the strategies to internet marketing, there are many methods to generating traffic to your website. You can do PPC, SEO, Web 2.0, PPM, Banners, etc. You can't do everything and you don't have to. All you need to do is choose the 3 methods you want to get traffic from and become an expert in them. You'll find your website traffic grows faster this way, than trying to do everything.

Rule 4. Be Honest

If you are to search for marketing advices from the internet, you’ll find that some advisors will ask you to lie to get a sale. This is a definite No-No if you want to build a long term online business. Because when your visitors discover that you have conned them into buying something that is different from your claims, they will not trust you again. Your reputation will be ruining and selling to them will be harder in the future. Always be honest with your opinion because everyone trusts an honest person and no one like a con-man.

Rule 5. Be Patient

Sorry to tell you this. There is no method to make BIG money quickly on the internet. There are ways to make small amount of money quickly from the internet, like online freelance job. There are ways to make big amount of money online, which I'll be showing you, but they'll need some work and time. But there is no ways to make big money quickly, usually these are scams and you need to be wary of them. To build a website that can constantly brings in $100 per month, you need to be patient. You have to give your website some time to mature before it can bear fruit and brings in cash. So be patient and don't give up.

 1. Sell Your Own Product

Have your own product to sell online is one of the best way to make money online. You make a profit everytime someone buys from your website. The key here is you must have a product first and it must be able to sell online. The best products are digital products, but you can do equally well with some physical ones. Very high value or large size physical products are usually a problem to sell online, so don't try to sell them unless you have everything figure out.

Once you already know what you are selling, what you need to do now is to build a marketing website targeted at your would-be customers. Your website must be marketing focus. I've seen many people have a great product but their websites sucks. Don't waste time talking about who you are or your family history. You want to have a marketing website that sells your product, tell them why they must buy from you and what's they get when they use your product.

2. Sell Other People's Product

If you don't have a product to sell, the next option is to sell other people's product. Here, you make money by recommending a product to your visitors and when they buy your recommendation, you make a commission. To do this, you start by going through different affiliate marketing programs and choose the product you want to sell. It's very important that you choose the right product because the wrong one will prevent you from making any sales online. Worst if they have a negative impact on your reputation.

After choosing a product, the next thing is to build your website. To be a successful affiliate selling other people's product, you must know about the product you are selling. The best way to know your affiliate product is to buy them and use them yourself. So when you are developing content for your website, you want to write about the product and how it has helped you. This is what we call product reviews, which you can put into your website and promote your affiliate product.

3. Sell Advertising Space

If you don't have any product to sell and you don't want to sell other people's product, the last method is selling advertising space. This is where other people put their text ads or banners on your website and you get paid when someone sees or clicks on the ads. You start by joining an advertising network, like AdSense or AdBrite. Once you join, you get a code, which you can put on your website to display the ads.

The thing about making money with selling advertising space is that you need a lot of content. Your website must have enough content to keep the people interest and stay long enough to click on one of your ads. Content is king here.

Whether you are using method 1, 2 or 3, the last thing you need is to get traffic to your website and this is the hard part. Web traffic has always been the no 1. issue with all internet marketing and there is no easy way out. Unfortunately, I'm not going to talk about traffic here, as this is a long topic by itself. To make money through affiliate marketing, you can follows these:

1. Select a market you want to make money from.

2. Look for affiliate products you want to promote to that market.

3. Build a website and load it with contents that your market will be interested in.

4. Embedded your affiliate links to the contents.

5. Drive traffic to your website.

This is just an overview of what you have to do to build a website that makes at least $100 per month from affiliate marketing. There are more to it than what stated above. Every steps have some details and special tactics you need to observes in order to succeed in affiliate marketing.
