Article directories are take a longer time to review and publish your article. This means that you might not see results until about a week later! With article sites, your articles are published instantly, or at the least, 24 hours. Some high page rank article sites to use are; Associated Content, Ehow and Helium. Just simply write an article and add a link back to your website.

2.       Hubsites- Hubsites are popular and starting to become the norm. In my opinion, they are big competition for article directories. Popular hub sites include Squidoo and Hubpages. These sites allow you to add specialized text and modules. These modules can be videos, banners, large text and much more. All of these modules will get you ranked higher in the search engines. The more modules you use, the more traffic you will get. Just make sure to interlink your hubpages in order to get them all indexed with minimal effort.

3.       Forums- Forums are a perfect way to gain backlinks and search engine traffic. In my opinion, you can get some really good results which are a little more effective than blog commenting. Blog commenting takes longer because you have to find sites that have a high page rank and are updated frequently. All you have to do is join the forum and edit your signature. 4.       Facebook- Facebook is a force to be reckoned with. It is probably one of the most effective marketing tools on the net right now. This is the only site which allows you to pick a certain demographic, age and network so you can target your audience.
