5 Ways To Prevent A Wedding Car Mishap

You have yet to hire a limousine or a couple of luxury cars to take you and the entire wedding party from the chapel to the reception hall on your big day. You have already got a million things to worry about, why let your transportation be another worry? Here are five ways to prevent a wedding car mishap, and make sure that you get to your destination smoothly safely and in style.

1. Choose a reputable company. This is probably the most important tip for having reliable wedding day transportation. Make sure you choose a company that is going to provide you with great service, be on time, and get you there safely. If you are not sure about a company, you can always ask for references from past clients, but usually you won't have to do that. By choosing a company that has been in business for a couple of years, you are going to make sure that you have everything covered.

2. Read the contract. Planning a wedding is a big thing, and you are going to have a ton contracts that you sign. After signing a contract for the caterer, reception hall and so on, you're probably going to think that they are all pretty standard. You are going to want to make sure that you read the contract for your chauffeur and car. The contract shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary, but you want to know what you're paying for and what's included in the package price. A lot of times, you might get a certain number of miles for free, and after 25 miles, for example, you may be paying an additional surcharge. Another thing you need to know is how far in advance you have to pay the deposit for the car. If you had forgotten to read the contract, you may end up not having a car because you thought you could pay the bill the day of your wedding.

3. Remember the seasons. If you think that getting a nice convertible car is going to be your dream transportation, make sure you consider the weather. Remember that it rains every weekend in April, and chances are you will need to have the top up anyway. The same goes with getting a convertible in the winter months. You don't want your bride-to-be to be freezing, or arrive at the church all wet.

4. Take and accurate headcount. There is nothing worse than booking a car that holds six people only to find out that your wedding party has eight people plus the bride and groom. If you are going to provide transportation for the entire wedding party, make sure that you count everybody and make sure that your car or cars are going to be able to hold that many people.

5. Give the driver accurate times. By telling the driver how long the ceremonies going to be in the church, how long you are going to be at the reception, and any other detours along the way, you're going to be able to get great service. There's nothing worse than running out of church on a rainy day, only to find that the driver isn't waiting, because he didn't know when you needed to be picked up again.

By organizing your wedding day transportation in advance, you are going to be able to get a car that's perfect for your wedding party and is going to be comfortable for any transportation needs.
