Im tired of super "skinny" models!!

You know the ones I speak of...

The ones down the catwalk,, whom all share a carrot, just to throw it up later!!

We real women need food, thats how the human species are supposed to surivive!! believe it or not.... Well dont worry I personally know the challenges faced to me as a woman in this world! I've been there tried that! and so I am here to tell you there is hope!! Forget the cabbage diet! and the "starving yourself diet"!! here are tips to losing wieght and living healthier!!


  1. Forget the word "diet" completely wash from your memory forever!! the word "diet" makes us think "restrictions" or "rules" and as a fellow human I know that feeling like we cant do something is like taking away our freedom!! (per-say)... in turn we begin to rebel and cheat which ends terribly in failure!! Instead, think of "life-style change".. I know the word "change" is still hard to hear, but if we put it in our minds that "life-style" means changing our lives for the better, it would actually help us to succeed more!!
  2. you hear it again and again- moderation!! it really is the key!!. you really can eat what you want!! but lets face it- our actual stomach is really only "so" big.. we can t realisitcally think that we can finish a 2lb steak, 1/2lb potatoe and still have room for dessert!! in realistic terms, we should only have a steak the size of our palm! and a 1/2 of a potatoe! but experts say that we should eat 6 "small" meals aday!! so you can eat what you want but train yourself to spilt it all up in small meals and look up serving suggestions...
  3. you heard it everywhere, carbs, carbs, and more carbs (or lack thereof)..the truth is that healthy carbs are infact better than limited carbs (which personally, I have tried the low carb diets and lost wieght but it was only short term).. experts say to eat most of your carbs (again healthy ones!) in the morning and less throughtout the day into the night! the reason is because your body works harder in the morning and throughout the day and slows torward bedtime.. the same experts say to stop eating at least 2 hours before bed so that your body eats the stored energy from earlier..
  4. and the dreaded word for most (including me!)- exercise!! and the word-is exercise!! many diets clam you dont need it but in reality your already doing it! when you wake up and brush your teeth, to when you play with the kids, and lastly, when you get ready for bed at night.. exercise is part of your daily life no matter what you may think!! It's just going the extra mile that really begins to get effective!! simply put- "calories in, calories out" the more calories you lose the more wieght you lose!!
  5. lastly support!! its a major factor in whether you fail or succeed! people need it in fact we ALL in need it!! (in some way) no matter if it;s a simple "man you look good!" to "come on I KNOW you can do it!!' support helps us if we get down on ourselves and are ready to quit.. It can be your husband/wife, child, mother, father, grandparents, or friends.. I am reallyheartfelt on its affect!!..

in summary, real weight loss isnt about starving or insane diets! its about education and a heartfelt "lifestyle" change. its about moderations and moderate exercise.. and i feel importantly- support!! I hope the best to you all in your weight loss goals and successes.. and hope to hear motivation to continue myself in my own journey to a healthier me!!
