Why Use Weight Loss Tea?

With so many products out there that claim to help people lose weight, there’s always the dangerous side effects and risky procedure that may adversely affect the way you look. So, some people tend to go with more natural alternatives such as tea, hypnosis, fat burning exercises and acupuncture. Weight loss tea has been receiving increased focus over the years, not only for it's weight loss capabilities, but also for it's overall healing power on both the body and mind.

Reducing Fat Cell Mass

To understand how drinking tea contributes to the reduction of fat cell mass in the human body, one must introduce how the mass of these fat cells increase in the first place. Fat accumulation happens when food, particularly sugar and fats, are turned into triglycerides in our digestive system. It’s our body’s natural way to store energy which the body uses at a later date to support our daily activities. Unused triglycerides are channeled into various fat cells all over the body. The accumulation of unused triglycerides over time causes a sickness known as obesity.

Drinking tea, whatever the preparation is, affects the way the body utilizes these triglycerides by increasing the body’s metabolic rate by some 4 to 20%. By increasing the body’s Energy Expenditure (EE), the body would be forced to use the triglycerides stored in the fat cells, thereby, decreasing their mass. While the effects of drinking tea varies for each individual in terms of their actual initial metabolic rate, studies show that there is significant decrease in these fat cells as a result of drinking weight loss tea.

Those who intend to include tea in their weight loss regimen are advised to drink at least two cups a day. This would not be a problem for most since tea contains less caffeine than coffee. Moreover, tea tastes great, either hot or cold, so chances are, you’ll be sipping more than two cups throughout the day.

Added Benefits of Tea

Apart from its ability to induce weight loss by increasing an individual’s metabolic rate, there are other health benefits that come with drinking tea. Tea, whatever the preparation is, contains polyphenol. Polyphenol has its anti-cancer properties and help protect our bodies from free radicals. This, in turn, enhances our immune system, improve cognitive skills, and prevent skin diseases.

Lower levels of stress hormone can also be seen from tea drinkers compared to non-tea drinkers, while the risk of blood clotting, which could lead to heart failure and clogging of blood vessels, is lower for the former compared to the latter.

The positive effects of drinking tea for those with diabetes, halitosis, Parkinson’s disease, and HIV are also being discovered.
