Extreme Muscle Growth

HIT-High Intensity Training

If you are someone who is struggling with trying to make huge gains with a weight training program that just keeps leading you to that brick wall of a plateau. You just can't seem to get any more gain in muscle growth.

One problem may be the you are over training. If you implementing an HVT (high volume training)weight training program , and you are experiencing this problem, after trying all avenues to get past this plateau, then your program is causing you to over train.

This is not uncommon with an HVT, in fact most who implement this type of weight training program usually end up at this point. The ones who usually benefit from an HVT program are either genetically gifted , or probably using steroids or some drug supplement to boost their chemical attributes to enhance muscle growth.

Implementing HIT(high intensity training) Is something that i started to research not long ago. HIt was introduced back in the 60's by world renowned Arthur Jones. Arthur Jones had many students , such as Mike Metzner (Image below) who received huge gains and excellent status in the body building world back then. This intense and rigorous program slowly faded away over the years as muscle magazines and fitness programs began to promote their many variety of supplements along with HVT (high volume training). Now , when you open a fitness or weight training magazine , this is all you will see, mega supplements and protein and all different varieties of drinks and muscle growth aids, along with the HVT programs that only a genetically inclined person can benefit from. Quite the money making business, because that's what all that is about , THE MONEY.

HIT , on the other hand is about Intensity. Shear intensity with extreme muscle growth , without any aids except creatine, and none of this new added in extras creatine , just plain ol mono-hydrate. Along with superhydration , lots of rest and good nutrition you come to realize what strength resides within you, and soon.

HIT is based on the concept that doing less is more. As you become stronger you will remove workout and exercises as time goes on, but always increasing your resistance. You must understand that to build muscle depends on intensity, duration, frequency, and order. With Hit you will perform all exercises to complete momentary muscular failure whether using free weights or weight machines. This means that your very last rep will be given all extremities to finish successfully , only to come to failure. The idea is there is always room for one more.

Your workouts are short , but extremely intense, to the point of nausea for some. You will perform 8- 12 exercises with a total of 12 reps and only one set for each exercise, but must be to complete muscular failure. For a beginner of HIT you should start with 7-8 exercises with the first 2 weeks to be NTF (not to failure). Workout should have a duration of only 30-40 min.

You will start out in 2 week periods, with workouts 3 times per week, either Mon. Wed. Fri. or Tues. Thurs. Sat. As time progress and you become stronger you will remove and change exercises. You will begin to implement NTF (not to failure at specific points in the program, and then also remove workouts with progression. At the end of a HIT program you will be working out only 3 times in a 2 week period with only 8 exercises. Them you will moved to advanced body building techniques.

A HIT workout is a full body workout so It is important to begin all HIT routines with leg exercises first so as not to exhaust your secondary muscles for other body exercises too soon as you will need all your energy for each exercise. Throughout HIt there is always change up within each 6 week routine so muscle growth will continue without reaching a plateau to soon.

There is much more to implemeting HIT and if you were to browse Weight Training Equipment Today.com you will find all that you need to follow and implement an excellent intense HIT routine.
