Do your finger Nails say a Story?
65Nail Health and Importance
The answer to this question is 'yes'. The fingernails say much about a persons overall health, personality and work habits. A well groomed nails can help you make a good first impression for a job interview. Nails should be clean, evenly cut and cuticles pushed back. Chipped nail polish or uncut and dirty nails is an absolute ‘no’ at an interview or work place or a social gathering as it reflects a very poor image of you. Badly maintained finger nails at work or interview shows that you can be lazy and insincere at work too. One can wear a light colored nail polish to work. Picking at your nails is also not considered a good habit. It is often seen students biting their nails before exams, actors doing it at back stage or candidates doing it before going for the interview. Nail biting is a sign of nervousness or anxiety and should be avoided.
Many conditions and diseases can be detected by changes in the nail. The most common health conditions that nails can reveal are the nutritional deficiencies. For instance an Iron deficiency may be responsible for weak, pale, thin, flat, lengthwise ridging, spoon shaped nails or that peels, chip, crack or break easily. Constantly breaking nails may indicate poor circulation or a thyroid dysfunction. Soft and weak fingernails can be the result of calcium and magnesium deficiencies. Horizontal ridges may be a result of protein and vitamin A deficiency. Vertical ridges can be an indication of iron deficiency anemia or insufficient amounts of vitamins A, B vitamins and calcium. Pitted fingernails usually result from deficiencies of protein, calcium or sulfur, Spoon nails due to iron deficiency anemia or B12 deficiency. White spots mineral deficiencies or infection. That was quite revealing, isn’t it?
Anyways, irrespective of
whatever story your nails convey it really feels good to have well groomed
finger nails. Well, who knows you may even get a hand modeling assignment. Consuming
food that is rich in Vitamin B, potassium, iron and calcium such as soy
products, celery, eggs, sea food is good for nail health. Manicure at least
once in a month is a good idea for maintaining the nails well and pampering
them. I also love to show off my nails with nail art.

The only thing we know for sure about the health care reform debate is that it's a nail-biter. What we don't know is whether, in the final bill, nail-biting will be covered, particularly if it's pre-existing nail-biting.
