Being the youngest child in my house hold, I have always wanted a younger sister. Someone that would look up to me, ask me questions about boys, school, and life in general. Ever since I was little, I have looked up to my older sister for help. I feel that this program, Big Brother Big Sister, gives me a chance to help a child that needs extra support, and steady role model in his/her life. Laura, my little sister, and I come from two totally different cutltures. However we are alot alike, both of us like the same color, type of music, movies, and food. Over the past couple of weeks, I got to spend time with someone that has a different take on life. She has a great sence of humor, and a wonderful personality to go with it. Every week I look foward to Wednesdays, just to spend time with my new little sister. I know that even when this year is over, I will still have that speacial bond that Laura and I have created. I thank Big Brother Big Sister for helping me form this new friendship.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a great program, because I met Jackie. She is a great big sister because she doesnt treat me like my real sister. My sister can be really mean to me sometimes, but Jackie isn't. Because of Jackie I have really good grades in school. She is an amazing person that I to look up to as a role model. I sometimes wish I could have her as my real sister. Jackie and I have alot in common. When I get older, I hope I can be just like her.

Living in a high tech world, Laura and I both use the internet often. We use the internet for learning as well as staying connected to friends and family. We use the internet to look up information and pictures for projects/research papers. Also we use the internet to show how much we love Big Brothers Big Sisters. I believe that the internet has effected both of our lives. Because of the internet we don't have to sit in librarys for hours, searching for the information we need. All we have to do is go to one of the many search engines to find what we're looking for. Both Laura and I have family and friends that live outside of Florida. The internet lets us talk to them instantly, unlike before where we would have to send a letter, then wait for days or even months to recieve one back. As you can see, Laura and I rely on the internet for many reason, and I can truthfully tell you that the internet has changed our live forever.
