Well folks it appears that this years election will be a bit refreshing, not the same old thing. Sarah Palin.....people either like her or don't. There doesn't seem to be an in between. But really what is there not to like. She is a mother, a wife, a daughter. She knows real issues about teen pregnancy, midlife pregnancy, special needs babies, hockey mom.....Oh, but then there is the lack of experience....well, that just means she hasn't been around to be corrupted by world politics. She will be a refreshing figure...She will no doubt have some good ideas. She already appears to be a trend setter, I heard that the frameless glasses are flying off the shelf. I think that puts her up there with the trend setting jackie O.And I am sure there is more to come and as we get to know her we will get to see the pit bull she referred to. Now I am not saying that Obama doesn't have any refreshing ideas and his wife definately dresses well, her dress style seems to catch on(but she isn't running for vice president). Although I will say that on television their family is very all american looking. Wife,husband and the two adorable daughters. It will no doubt be a close election, both which will make history.

Even people who do not vote or who tend to ignore the presidential media are actually paying attention. It is like the Harry Potter effect on reading. I think this will be the Sarah Palin effect in politics. I am sure other countries are watching and calculating the differences in Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin.

No doubt it will be a good battle between the presidential parties. Although I have no doubt that PETA will emerge if they already haven't because of the bear skins on the wall and the pictures of the caribou she shot. But you have to admit that does take away being a totally feminine girly girl. It shows she has grit. She no doubt will show us her other side which will leave us with a better picture and understanding. But for now she has our attention.

As for her personal life with her childrens problems, I don't think that should be of any concern to us. Millions of girls get pregnant, millions of women have babies midlife and sometimes those babies do have problems. I think she will have it all together and be able to handle it with support from her family.
