Young Internet Entrepreneur’s Biggest Question, “What If I Fail?”
58Young internet entrepreneurs go through a rollercoaster of emotions when it comes to deciding whether or not being an entrepreneur is wise. There are a lot of internal battles young internet entrepreneurs must face, especially if the urge to become an entrepreneur is beginning to sway the direction you were headed in your life. But when entrepreneurs begin to embrace their feelings of business ownership they always have one question that spawns from the fear of the unknown, “What If I Fail?”
The Bumpy Right Of Emotions
The decision to become a young internet entrepreneur will be filled with tons of ups and downs that are literally going to make you sick. There’s a huge fear of the unknown that scares just about anybody who decides they want to become an internet entrepreneur.
For example, when it comes to internet marketing there’s a failure rate between 80-95%. When you analyze things too closely and you look at the odds, you have to ask yourself if you stand a chance at succeeding with internet marketing.
The same things apply to being a young internet entrepreneur, do you stand a chance against the many people who are doing the same thing?
Or what about the economy…(did you feel the chill go through your body when you read that?)
Is it possible for a young internet entrepreneur to actually have success in one of the biggest economic crashes in history?
These are a couple of questions that entrepreneurs are going to run through their mind over and over and over again.
Don’t worry though, there’s an end to this dreaded rollercoaster, you just have to decide when you’re going to let go of your self-limiting beliefs and start going after what you want, despite what people say.
This Wasn’t Supposed To Happen
For most young entrepreneurs, the urge to run their own internet business is going to blindside them. It usually comes at a time when you have your goals set, your future solidified and all you have to do is get to that point. You may not be happy with what happens at the end but you’ll be content and your future family will be taken care of.
Then all of a sudden the suppressed urge to run things on your own will begin to rear it’s ugly head and you begin to fill your mind with the questions we’ve already discussed. The trigger comes in many shapes and sizes but for most people it involves getting tired or working for somebody else.
You have to ask for time off to see your family during the holidays, work the entire summer between semesters and come back to a full-time school schedule, sit down for an interview and have someone tell you how much you’re worth. All of those things can make you sit back and take a good look at where you’re headed in life and if you aren’t happy with what you see then that’s when those suppressed feelings begin to turn into thoughts.
Embrace those feelings because a true young internet entrepreneur is going to take those feelings and turn them into action steps towards their true passion.
Sometimes you can’t predict when you’re going to be blindsided with feelings of becoming an entrepreneur but you can turn those thoughts into a plan that will ultimately lead to your happiness. But that still leaves the dreaded question, “What If I Fail?”
Well…What If You Fail?
The number one question on young internet entrepreneur’s minds is what happens if they fail. There a two things you can do in that situation and whatever you do is going to affect your business in a monumental way.
Most young internet entrepreneurs comes to this question because they want to play both sides, here’s what I mean.
A college student realizes that he truly wants to be an entrepreneur rather than a lawyer so he goes through all of the normal thoughts of what happens if…
And he finally decides to become a young entrepreneur, but he throws in a clause, he says to himself that he’s going to try it for three months and see what happens.
Again, that’s what a majority of young internet entrepreneurs do because that gives them an out, but what happens when you get to that three months and you haven’t made any money?
You can either follow through with your plan, quit your dream of running your own business, and continue on the path that you know will make you unhappy which is working for somebody else. Or you can continue to be a student of growing your own internet business and realize that you’re going to be a successful young internet entrepreneur, it’s just a matter of time.
If you’re ready to stare failure right in the eyes then you’re never going to truly fail. Because it impossible for you to fail in your pursuit to be an entrepreneur if you don’t stop trying, the moment you stop trying is the moment you’ve failed.
