What is HGH? What is HGH used for? What is HGH made from? Learn all about HGH(Human Growth Hormone)

HGH(Human Growth Hormone) is a natural hormone secreted by the pituitary gland of a person. It is also called Somatropin. HGH is secreted through a person's life and is responsible for the healthy function of the human body. HGH levels peaks during adulthood during puberty and plays an important role in the height of a person. The growth of Long bones and cartilages in our body is triggered due to the production of HGH. Increased HGH levels lead to fast growth of the long bones of our body, which directly determines our height. Abnormal Increased HGH levels in body may lead to a Gigantism, where the person will be abnormally tall whereas very low levels of HGH may lead to Dwarfism where the person will be abnormally short

While HGH is secreted in higher levels and serves to influence vertical height of a person during puberty and the onset of adulthood, it continues to be secreted throughout a person's life. After the vertical height growth for a person ceases, HGH serves to enhance vitality and slowdown the ageing process. However, the level of HGH secretion may only be around 25% at older age compared to the levels of HGH during younger age. HGH may influence growth of long bones only only until the growth plates in our bones are open. Once growth plate fusion occurs, HGH cannot increase a person's height. However, studies have shown that HGH can trigger growth even after growth plate fusion, but stimulating cartilage growth in our body. Abnormal secretion of HGH in adults can lead to a disease called "Acromegaly", which is marked by abnormally thick bones of the arms and legs and protruding jaws

Artificial HGH is also synthesized through other amino-acids, which stimulate the pituitary gland to secrete more HGH. One of most powerful HGH stimulating amino acids is L-Arginine, an isolated amino acid. L-Arginine is more effective when combined with other amino acids such as L-Ornithine, L-Lysine or L-Glutamine.
