Dear MM Del Rosario,
I always appreciate reading your hubs. Each hub is well written and researched. However, with this particular hub, though I enjoyed reading it I must admit I disagree with your findings. Baptism does not wipe out our sins. Only Jesus does that. According to the Bible, baptism does not guarantee an entrance into God's family. Belief and acceptance in Jesus is the only way to God.(John 14:6) Baptism is
a picture of what Christ has done for us. He was buried and rose again. When a person is baptised, it is a declaration that he/she identifies with Christ burial and resurrection. The person being baptised should have previously accepted Christ, and then he is baptised. Going down into the water(burial of Jesus) coming up out of the water(His rising from the dead) Baptism is not salvation. To be baptised before accepting Christ is placing the proverbial 'cart before the horse.' Still, I appreciate your attention to the subject. I continue to look forward to everything your write.
