Trackbacks

A trackback works like a notification method between websites, the trackback generates notification links automatically, sending it to users of the original content.

Trackbacks work like this:

• I search the web and I find an article I liked, but I have a blog and I write an article to talk about it.
• I make my own article about the same subject like a complement, and I put a link to the original blog.
• On your trackbacks blog panel you put the url of original blog.

Doing this, you are telling the other blogger something like this "your name", "your blog name", writed about post "x".

Pingbacks

Pingbacks can be looked as a trackback evolution, it does almost the same, with the diference that pingback are active by default. The most differences between trackbacks and pingbacks is that use different communication technologies, pingbacks don't send any content.
