The Department of the Treasury announced that in its first official week of sending out economic stimulus package payments, approximately $7.1 billion was distributed to about 7.7 million Americans.

The time has come and gone that I should have received my stimulus payment. Why don't I have it yet??? I was planning to use that money on vacation that I am leaving for on Saturday. Lets hope it gets here quick or it could be a really bad vacation with no money.

they say on the internet that it was may9, but when i called they said it was mail out on the 2of may and they had my old address but have not been return yet,but according to the payment sheet it said that it will be mail than,so which one should i go by?
The paymeny sheet says the 23 it will be mailed out,but even though they say it was mailed on the 2 of may and have not been returned yet something it wrong or its lost.
My last 2 digits are 05,my friends is 08 and she got hers May9th. We both don't have direct deposit. I was told mine would be mailed out May 16th, as of today, May 28th, I still haven't received it. I need mine to help my grandaughter and her 3 special needs children soon. They have no money for food and medicine after bills, so they won't get evicted, they pay the bill.

Mine is not here either. According to IRS dot gov it should have been mailed.
This is beginning to remind me of at the beginning of George W's term, (I was living in Florida at the time) anyway, at that time, Jeb was governor , a sum of money was also promised then. I got almost half, and a note saying I would get the rest later, which I never did.
So naturally I have my doubts about this promise too. Anyone else remember that?

How were you able to speak with anyone? I called twice and got the same pre recorded speech. some dates to wait for, but no answers. Did you call at a special time? Did you speak with a human?
IRS: Some stimulus checks sent to wrong accounts. For those of you that have not received your rebate checks this error occurred on May 15th. This will explain why you have not received your funds. And for those of you that did not recieve the child tax credit the corrections will be made in July for checks that where sent incorrectly.
I do not have direct deposit and the last two of my social are 50...this means that mine will not be mailed out until June 13. However, due to the status of our economical situation, they were sending out all of the payments a week sooner, or so they said. After reading all of these comments, I'm beginning to wonder if I can count on mine being on time, let alone a week early!
Worse case scenerio you will receive your payment during the week of 23rd of June. This mix up that was made recently and the delay from a few before, puts the IRS right back at the beginning of the mailing date... a week behind.
Thanks candicane...at least I have some comfort in knowing what is going on. The IRS website is robotic....it offers no real information, only what the government has been stating all along.
my last 2 digits of social security number is 33. my check was to be mailed out on june 6. its june 13 and i havent recieved it yet. whats the problem?
how unfair is this I am head of house hold and I cant claim the people that I help out and they are low income and they are not elgible how crappy is that.
the last two digits are 61 we just reiceved a letter we will be reiceving $1,228.00 but we are suppose to reiceve 1,800.00 what happened with the amount then i called to the irs and its all robotic i want to speak to a representative.
