The Arnold Palmer Invitational will begin on Thursday and the final round will be on Sunday.  It is traditionally held at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill & Lodge located in sunny Orlando, Florida.  Television coverage will be broadcast live on The Golf Channel Thursday and Friday from 3pm to 6pm EST with replays at 11:30 pm.  NBC will take over the coverage on Saturday and Sunday from 2:30pm to 6pm EST for the final two rounds.  The total purse for this tournament is $6,000,000, and winner will bring home $1,000,000.  Wow, it pays to be good at golf!

Can you watch it live online?

I love to watch golf on TV, unfortunately, I have to miss several of my favorite tournaments because of work or other committments.  And, I noticed others were having the same problem as me because several "golf-watchers" have been searching for ways to watch the Arnold Palmer Invitational and other tournaments online.  In my opinion, no one should have to miss golf because of work.

Online TV watching software

Thankfully, I found a helpful software program that let me watch the Arnold Palmer Invitational online. It is amazing what technology can accomplish. You can do just about anything if you have the right software program. But, I don't think that many people know about this TV to PC software that I am currently using.

Here's the software I use >> TV to PC

How much does it cost?

This is the same question I asked, initially.  Is it free?  Think about it.  Is cable or satellite TV free?  If I had all of the money I've spent on my monthly cable TV subscription back, I'd be doing really well.  This software put me back a whopping $49.95, no monthly, recurring, or hidden fees.  Just a one-time expense.  Once you're up and running you can watch all the golf you want, forever, on your computer.  Plus, you can watch more sports, movies, tv shows, news, and anything else you would want to watch on satellite TV.

Other online TV viewing options

Honestly, I have not found any other options to watch the Arnold Palmer Invitational online.  There are some free sites that will allow you to watch it the day after or something, which doesn't appeal to me.  Sometimes, you can catch some live sporting events on espn360, but that site is blocked on my work computer.  So, that doesn't work for me.

How to Cut 12 strokes off of your golf scorecard

Watching golf on TV is fun, but I think like to play golf more.  There's something about me that is not satisfied by just being a spectator.  I want to PLAY!  Unfortunately, I wasn't that good at golf.  Until, I found a way to reduce my average score by up to 12 strokes!  I'm not talking about doing this over the period of 2 years either.  I found a simple swing system that shows you how to shave at least 7 strokes within 2 weeks.  It was easy to implement and helped my game tremendously.  Now, I having a blast playing golf and not being frustrated after every single stroke.

  • Palmer and his Namesake Invitational Lend Support to Orlando Economic Development Commission

ORLANDO, FL — Arnold Palmer took time this week to talk to members of the Orlando Economic Development Committee’s Board and Investor Councils about what is most important to him. On the list: golf, family, helping children and economic development. The legendary golfer, who was among the first in the world to transform his sport success into a business empire, addressed this group of EDC supporters from a room in the Lodge that he built, overlooking the Bay Hill Golf Course that he recently renovated into what he suggests is among "the best anywhere." Among many topics, Mr. Palmer spoke about his personal satisfaction at seeing the region’s recent growth as a center for the medical research and life science industries. Arnold Palmer's connection to Central Florida dates back to the 1960s. First coming to Orlando for a tournament in 1962, he saw potential in the region that led him to buy out other investors in the then fledgling Bay Hill Club in 1969. The PGA TOUR event played at Bay Hill annually that bears his name, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, has grown from humble beginnings to an event which today accounts for 165 full time jobs; more than $5 million in annual earnings, which translates in to $18.5 total spending; and attracts more than 100,000 attendees each year. Plus, proceeds benefit Orlando Health’s Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Mr. Palmer's commitment to the EDC goes even further. He personally invests in our organization through the membership of the Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by MasterCard. One of his goals for addressing this group, which was reinforced by EDC Board Chair Meg Crofton, was to encourage more local businesses to support the work of the Economic Development Commission. - 2 months ago
