Whitening Teeth at Home
59When I first thought about getting my teeth whitened I planned on just having it done by my dentist the next time I went in for a check-up, until they told me what it was going to cost -- over $600 for an in-office treatment or over $300 to take their whitening trays home! Since that seems to be a bit ridiculously expensive, I decided to look into what options were available for just whitening my teeth at home.
There are plenty of home teeth whitening kits available, all basically based on using peroxide to whiten your teeth, but some are rather more expensive than others. And some actually seem to work better than other methods, even though I think they are all technically based on the same substance -- hydrogen peroxide (that's what we lighten our hair with too!).
So let's take a look at a couple of different types of at home teeth whiteners.

Crest White Strips, Advanced Seal
Using the white strips to whiten your teeth is actually a bit of pain, but then all methods of teeth whitening are slightly annoying so that may not be worth worrying about too much. What you need to know is the Crest White Strips work and for the price you really can't beat it.
Crest over the years has released many different versions of their White Strips and the Advance Seal strips are the latest. The latest design revision to them is to increase how well the strips hold onto your teeth. If you've used the Crest white strips before and didn't like the fact that they tended to slip, you should be pleased with the new Advanced Seal version. They really hold on. In fact, maybe a little too good!

Teeth Whitening Pens
Teeth whitening pens are becoming quite popular, especially for touch ups if you've had a whitening treatment at your dentist's office.
What you do with a teeth whitening pen is paint each tooth individually. This can be a little bit time consuming, but not nearly as annoying as using a tray. The nice thing about using the pens is that once you paint your teeth, they dry quickly and you don't have your tongue bumping against that annoying film like you do with the whitening strips.
BriteSmile is a popular teeth whitening pen and Rembrandt will be coming out with one. But you may want to try a new whitening pen that has been introduced.
Kim Kardashian and her sisters now have their own brand of teeth whitening pen, called Idol White. It works like other teeth whitening pens and it also polishes your teeth while it does the whitening so you should get that nice "glint" that you see on a celebrity's teeth.
The Kardashian's Idol White teeth whitening pen is only available online, but they are offering a free trial so you can use it risk free and see if you like it. All you need to pay for is shipping & handling. Click here to get your free trial of Idol White.
