The other day, a friend told me why he engaged him self to promicuous acitvity while his wife is hanged over with the financial crisis his family has been facing for quiet a long time now.

His younger son has been the black sheep in the family. He has been in junior high school for 3 years now amidst the comforting life they had given him. He cuts classes and join his out of shool youth friends hanging around mindless of the time he is wasting. He has been so patient about him, waking up early just to prepare his breakfast and driving him to school but he doesn't seem to recognize all these efforts. His son is only 17 yet he already have a daughter and now he has his new girlfriend. The other day he shaved his eyebrows when he had a fight with his girlfriend, yesterday he threw away everything that is beyond his grip after his gf begged to break up with up, this morning, he positioned to box his mother when she refused to give him money for his whims. His son has grown up to be a monster.

While holding his broken heart, he managed to mask the pain and disappointments by diverting his focus to gambling and promiscuity. Things that I don't really agree but I symphatize him.

For many times he said, "how he wish everything is just a bad dream",I can not blame him. It's really hard seeing your world falling apart and all you could do is lie to your self and pretend that you can still win the battle but the truth is, you are loosing everyday.

So why do people lie than console him self with reality? cause truth can break a heart of stone. Cause we rather pamper ourselves in fantacy than choose the one that will belittle our self esteem. People lie because their ego can not withstand the truth that is laid before them and people would rather lie to other people in defense of their ego or to rather protect the trust of that other people.
