Wii Fit makes use of a wireless peripheral namely Wii Balance Board that looks like your run-of-the-mill scales found in the bathrooms of many homes. But it is way stronger than that as it uses four AA batteries as a power source, which can power the board for about 60 hours. Wii’s are automatically detected, there is no configuration needed. The theme used by the plugin is based on the colours of the Wii interface and uses the "Wii" font at sizes that provide for easy reading on TV screens. Wii are hard to find, so when you see a one in stock, it is a good idea to buy it right away. Check this page frequently or use the Wii Finder Widget to watch it for you.

Wii Transfer can even manage saved game backups copied to an SD card. Wii is choosing to make higher quality games rather than just going for quantity. Wii offers superb backward compatibility -- the cornerstone of Nintendo's all-access approach. This new console will play fan-favourite games from Nintendo's 20-year-old library.

Wii Fit is simple to use, and simply the most fun way to keep you, your family and friends fit. Wii boasts 512 megabytes of internal flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports and built-in Wi-Fi capability. A bay for an SD memory card will let players expand the internal flash memory. Wii.tv has released an April Fools video on us all, trying to convince us that there is going to be a new Zelda set in the future. Their video is a little too long of a trip to take for a joke, but it was a nice try nonetheless.

Wii Sports also features a fitness test that calculates a player's fitness age. The test gauges the player's performance in three randomly chosen challenges from the training mode.

Players begin the game with access to a limited number of tracks and can only unlock the full range of tunes by putting in a series of good performances. This provides plenty of incentive to return for one more go. Players can then guide their online character through various quests and battle other players in a massive open-end world, all in collecting various items and advancing in your storyline. Players can also chat online by typing (obviously) and using various emotions such as “/e dance”, at which point your character will start doing a dance unique to his or her race. Players will experience the adventure as Wilbur Robinson, helping him chase the dastardly Bowler Hat Guy and his diabolical robotic hat Doris through multiple timelines in an attempt to thwart their evil plans. The game weaves in and out of the film's plot, expanding the Robinson world and offering an all-new adventure.

Players control either Idaten or Benten, celestial warriors out to bring an end to the tyrannical rule of the emperor of Planet Builder, who holds muscular prowess to be the supreme virtue of the universe. Aided by able-bodied muscle-head options Adon and Samson, they must battle to defeat the emperor?s army across five stages. Players can compete individually or in teams, depending on the game. Create a big scoreboard using poster board or a dry-erase board so everyone can keep track of the standings.

Gamers who purchase Gears of War 2 are given a download code for five classic maps from the first game to play online. The codes are one-use only, so anyone buying the game used has no way of getting the maps, which is no fun if they're in the rotation and you're forced to sit out a round while your friends play. Games are entertainment (and more) for everyone now. The old certainties are gone. Games will detect whether you've got the good console or the cheap console, and adjust the graphics accordingly. That way, Nintendo can satisfy the budget gamers as well as those with a bit more money to spare.

Nintendo has also expressed that the pronunciation of Wii, which is like the English word "we," tells you who this console is for -- all of us, everyone! There are other implied or attached meanings in the new name -- one important one goes with related Wi-Fi releases to be used with Nintendo's wireless gaming service, "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.". Nintendo has ventured off the beaten path with its newest system, and the company knows it. While the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360 both emphasize their impressive graphical capabilities, Nintendo downplays the importance of graphics on its new console. Nintendo wants you to believe that the Wii will tear kids off the couch and get them swinging virtual tennis rackets. There's also the suggestion that its intuitive game play could eliminate the steep learning curve that tends to repel both "casual gamers" and people who've never held a joystick before.

Nintendo had an outstanding business plan by pursuing casual gamers, but outside of the latest Zelda installment, I have seen minimal content that would entice me to purchase a Wii. My nephews have a Wii and it's enjoyable, but so are board games. Nintendo is offering to replace the original strap with a newer version. And some Wii consoles already use the new strap. Nintendos console caters for all the potential gamers out there, making it one of the most innovative creations to come from the gaming industry. This is what has led to many of you buying a Nintendo Wii.
