Wii Fit Game

Wii Fit is comprised of the motion sensitive balance board and the actual Wii Fit game.

You first need to set up your little character - Mii and then calculate your BMI (body mass index). This is worked out by measuring your weight and center of gravity and inputting your height.

Once your BMI is analysed you then need to do a simple balance test which will give you your Wii Fit age - a bit like in Brain Training.

There are over 40 activities which are divided into four categories - aerobics, yoga poses, muscle conditioning and balance games. Some of the games are locked until you achieve earn Fit credits. You can earn more Fit credits the more time you spend exercising.

The Wii Fit launches in the UK on 25th April - get your preorder in so as not to be disappointed with the predicted stock shortages.

Aerobic Games

These 10 minute exercises are aimed at getting your heart pumping and to build up a sweat!

Hula Hoop & Super Hula Hoop - try to get as many rotations in a time limit, as well adding on extra hula hoops.

Basic, Advanced & Free Step - this involves stepping on and off the board - forwards, back and to the sides - to music.

Basic Run, 2-P & Free run - this one doesn't use the board, but the controller. Try to keep up with the pacer.

Rhythm boxing

  • I've been really rubbish....

... at trying to keep up with this blog!! i'm really bad at getting back to people, writing emails etc I haven't really had anything much to say except 'WHERE ARE ALL THE WII FITS???' There are still people waiting to get their hands on one - is it going to be like this in the run up to christmas? yes, probably!! So, i've tried it a few times, enjoyed it, unlocked some 'games' and then stopped! i don't enjoy exercising, and i thought this might change my perspective, but it hasn't. i really did like using it, but the one thing i did find annoying was that you need to move onto the next thing yourself. what i would like to see is to be able to set up a programme where it jumps straight onto the next exercise/game etc so you don't have to stop. if you're still doing it then well done and keep at it kel - 2 years ago

  • play.com money off code

just put in this code for £2 off of a £20+ spend NEWPLAY08 - 2 years ago

  • Gameseek have stock......

..but it will cost you £99.99. It's getting a bit like the Wii consoles - people are charging a premium price for something people want and there is only a limited amount. I guess if you go by what's happening on ebay then people will pay over the odds. I have finally tried it out and i have to say i quite like it. Being a girl, i like all the aerobic games - step, jogging, hula hoop i hven't tried the yoga yet as it's a bit hard when you're meant to be in 'the zone' with a 2 year old running about wanting to jump on the board as well! - 2 years ago

  • So How Are You All Finding It?

I haven't even had a chance to get mine out of the box yet! All this excitement about getting it and then it isn't even opened. I think it's called retail therapy or something!! - 2 years ago

  • I GOT ONE!!

I got home from work tonight and there it is waiting for me. We got the preorder in quite early with Game so I was kind of hoping we'd get it today. I'm too tired to try it out tonight, so i'll give it a go tomorrow. I also managed to buy Mario Kart in the shops the other day. I tried everywhere - HMV, woolies (they didn't have loads, just loads of empty boxes!), Game, Zavvi, Currys and finally found it in Gamestation. They didn't have the wheel though so i had to get that in HMV. It's great fun. Even my 2 year old little boy can do it! He goes round in circles and the wrong way, but he thinks it's great! Get Wii Fit is still showing which stores have got stock - not many by the looks of things! It will get updated everyday, throughout the day. - 2 years ago
