The answer is obvious and relates to the variety of types and colors of clothing a woman wears as opposed to a man.

I am guessing that your wardrobe consists of mainly black, grey, blue, brown, white and shades of these colors with maybe a little red and green thrown in. Your wife probably has clothes in aqua, turquoise, magenta, puce, cerise, lemon, wine, aubergine - all of which men would probably call "made up woman colors".

Also I am willing to bet that every day you choose between long trousers, shorts or jeans. Your wife has the additional options of skirts and dresses.

With all the miriad of options women have in style and color of clothing we NEED shoes and boots in all colors, styles and heel heights.

At least that is what I tell my partner!
