Be careful In The Words You Use When Talking To People

The power of the spoken word is one of the must encouraging or damaging things that can affect a person life.

Being a motivational speaker I always try to encourage people to do better in their life and to find their gifts and talents. But as I speak to people, read books and listen to inspiring tapes I have found out how the spoken word has hurt so many people.

I was very fortunate growing up with parents that encouraged me to grow and to go after my dreams. I was one of the lucky ones. As we grow up the word NO is used more often than any another word. Change the way you talk and think.

I remember when I wanted to be like Roy Rogers, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and a few others that now I can not remember. As I grew up my role models become professional ball players, a few of my teachers and a few successful people. It seems that though out my life I had role models. Today is no different. I always had goals. I talk with a lot of people because I am network marketing coach and it does not surprise me that many of the people I speak have no goals, no idea how much more money they want to make or think they can do better. God has given us everyone of us gifts and talents. It does not matter how old you are. You still can do great thinks.

I speak with so many people that tell me when they grew up their parents and friends put them down. Maybe you heard a few of the words. You are a loser, why can’t you be like Johnny down the street, you will never be somebody, none of us went to college so you don’t need to go, grow up and be a man, men don’t cry, you are fat, you are skinny, you are ugly, no one wants to date you and many others. If any of you reading this please send me anything you can think of.

You see the words we speak can either help someone or it can hurt someone. Most of the time many of us live in anger because our lives are not going the way we thought it should be going. You hear about the divorce rate is maybe 50-50. Marriages are falling apart because of money and the words we speak.

I enjoy making people feel good. I go out of my way to say something nice and encouraging. It could be a Starbucks person, just a person waiting in line, a person that I just met while I am out.

It is amazing how people react to what I tell them. I see a smile on their face. A smile goes a long way. Why don’t you try to make someone feel good today? It will also make you feel good. Try this for a week. People need to be encouraged. Speak positive rather than negative. Say yes more than no. What ever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart. Start changing the way you think and speak. It will affect other people.

I like being around positive people. I close the door on negative people. Negative people want you to be at their level. This is why I like Network Marketing. When ever I am around a network marketer they are positive and are willing to support you. Today we all need help and support. The news has always been negative and not uplifting. So, we need to uplift people. Go out there and uplift 3 people a day.

People are looking for ways just to put food on the table today. Jobs are being lost everyday. I am trying my best to let people know about Network Marketing because this is one of the very few ways that we have to change our lives. If so many jobs are being cut out then what do we do? How can we find a job if we don’t have that skill? People skills are the easiest to learn. All you need to be is nice and talk with a smile on your face.

My daughter will be graduating next year from college and she now feels that getting a job is going to be hard. What do our kids do in the future?

Let’s all get together and change the way we talk and change the way we think. Start today. Go out there and make someone’s day. You just might meet someone that can help you. God works in funny ways.
