Stress can be related to work deadlines and quality, sales quota and target, and relationships with colleagues, superiors and customers. Sometimes work stress and job pressures can become so intense that it develops into anxiety, triggers a panic attack, and cause depression to occur.

Work stress and anxiety are normal emotional behaviour as you keep on working on your job. How do you deal with work stress and anxiety?

Some people deal with work stress by having a food trip- eating any kind of food as they wish. Men usually succumb to drinking beer, wine and alcoholic drinks. These things are just their way of getting out of thier stress but will only aggravate the problems as they end up over weight, and excessive use of alcohol that may lead to other health problems.

The best ways to overcome work-related stress and anxiety are relaxation methods, deep-breathing techniques and exercises. Early morning exercise at the park or beach and breathing some fresh air could greatly help in clearing your minds off your problem and make a fresh start in the morning at work. You can also do it in the gym and perform aerobics or kick-boxing exercises. There is a saying that goes: healthy body and health mind. Doing your daily exercise activates your brain to perform well for the day and make good decision-making. Weak bodies tend to increase stress and anxiety as your mind poorly functions in making decisions on your work.

When it comes to work anxiety related to relationship with office colleagues and superiors, you need to talk it out with the concerned person. These things should need to be given proper attention by bringing this matter with your human resources.

Work relations play an important role in your motivation to work. Most often, people efficiently do thier jobs when they are well motivated by their superiors. On the other hand, bad working relation with your boss may end up in poor performance, and your unsatisfactory accomplishment may even add up to the problem.

Both of you should have your own expectations from each other and try to do what your superior expects you to do.
