www.gardenburger.com Gardenburger

www.gardenburger.com Facing with today’s food security problems, Overwhelmed by fast food restaurants, we seldom find organic and healthy food; processed food are everywhere, it seems like we don’t have any choice to live a healthy life, due to the reliance upon food factories and restaurants to feed us.

www.gardenburger.com has actually provided another way of life-----sponsor the Gardenburger Community garden Grants program to assist people with a healthier life. They have posted their philosophy out, which is inspiring and encouraging to many people who want enjoy a healthy, organic, sustainable and happy life. They have the eye-catching farmland picture on the first page, which is a good strategy for those that want, get a glance of the real situation----which of course, I leave to doubt.

Gardenburger also has put pictures of their products on the site; varieties are not merely constrained within burgers, but other stuff like steaks and Garden Variety like meatballs. Clicking on certain type of their products, you will get a list of goods within the category.

I really like the festivals they have in different cities related to their products and also try to impart the knowledge of planting and growing people’s own food. They have videos available, so people didn’t have chance to participate like me can take a look what’s the event like. Branching out section is very attractive and original. In order to thank people take part in their festivals, they have this unique and cute posters made and are sent out to participators for free. It’s a great way of showing appreciation. Most importantly is that the idea counts, not many companies actually care more than their own marginal profits. Gardenburger also has a grant program supporting those people who want to grow their own food.

I might say their values are very attractive and welcomed by lots of customers because of the promotion of DIY food. But I still feel the website is not very informative-----I got sort of confused that whether they are growing their own goods on farmlands or they are encouraging customers to grow their own food as well? If it is the former, maybe photos or videos of growing processes and actual situations are desired to be shown, because all I read are coming out from their mouth, they obviously can say whatever they want. Also, I think another section should be put there-----growing/planting knowledge, for those who don’t even know the festivals or any activities, so they are able to learn so much from the web. If you share with others, others will do the same, give the feedbacks.

Besides, when I did want to see specific photos of their products are actually missing. Honestly, a list of short vocabularies won’t help me picture the food or catch my attention, unless it describes things in a very juicy and detailed way----it certainly doesn’t do that either.

Overall, it is a website with special character of its own, but more specific details are required, if they really want to beat other burger manufacturers. And I hope they really care about people’s health as much as they do to their profits.
