70Crateandbarrel.com-maybe not all good, but it has its plusses
You've tried everything to get some furniture for your home and not lose your mind in the process, but have failed miserably. You may have paid less until now but appalling customer service and even more dreadful delivery has left you asking for no more. I suggest you give Crate & Barrel a go. Nine out of 10 times, you won't be disappointed (take that with a pinch of salt though; nothing is ever flawless after all).
Most of us have loved the store, and you will pretty much come to love the site, crateandbarrel.com, too. Once you are here, it'll take you a couple of seconds to figure which direction to head into. You see, they are into a lot more than just offer stuff for you and me to shop for. Anyway, when you do find the shop link, roll the mouse over it and you'd see what they have to offer. From dinnerware, table linens, gourmet foods to lighting, rugs and furniture, crateandbarrel.com is well stocked; and I mean it!
While they update you with what's new at C&B, they also put some stuff up on sale (this, I've heard, is not very often). Remember to check these out from time to time, or simply sign up for their news email.
Once you get down to real shopping, do not to get intimidated by the prices. Yes, C&B is overpriced, in some cases, pretty ridiculously, but then in most cases, it's gonna last you for a major part of your life. You're not gonna have too much trouble zipping through the site, finding exactly what you want and getting out happy with the purchase made.
Shipping charges come out at you much later and they sure can take the air outta you; the charges are quite preposterous! You'll be given a delivery date. Make sure you check up at least a week before the actual date so you stay updated. Someone or everyone at C&B may not bother to inform you that they are out of stock or just plain busy to deliver your stuff.
Once you have the goods in hand and you see damage, quite naturally you may want to get in touch with customer service. Now, just so you are warned, this can get a little tricky. But most times, you will be fine and get your way around them. Almost certainly you'll get a replacement. So, just stay cool!
In a nutshell, you got to have some patience with crateandbarrel.com. Customer service may suck at times and delivery is slow, but on the whole, the experience is a lot happier than many other online shopping hubs.
