It's fairly a good idea to have a family life with a normal hearing person. Good margins of the deaf do prefer another deaf for a hand in marriage why? The main obstacles most hearing people keep in mind are the lack of effortless communication. It is the same case with deaf people also. But there are living examples of cases where deaf lead fantastic family life with normal people.
There are misconceptions on both sides. Since the hearing husband /wife can communicate with the hearing majority so easily, there develops a kind of misunderstanding and doubting habit in the mind of the deaf partner. They are always afraid of being cheated by the partner in multiple ways.
The normal considers the deaf partner as slow in response and highly sensitive in their reactions. So they consider the deaf as inflexible and hot in various life struggles.
So they think cannot afford them in diverse life situations especially in decision making.
But there are successful cases of good deaf- normal family life; how?
Deaf Aid Post made a survey among such victorious deaf-normal couples and
reached the following key points behind their success.
1. The couple is well versed in using the total communication.
2. The hearing partner always encourages his/her deaf partner to wear hearing aid.
3. Other members of the family are supportive and inspirational. They tried their best to avoid denigration or mocking and other humiliating expressions from their part. They did not give the feelings of avoidance or negligence.
4. The normal partner is always communicative enough to wipe out almost all the doubts related with hearing environment.
5. The hearing partner accepted his/her deaf partner as a person with a large number of abilities while accepting a single disability.
6. The hearing partner was happy to bring his/her deaf partner along with, to participate in all happy gatherings. He/She has no hesitation or complexes in presenting the deaf partner as life partner in public.
7. Most of the hearing partner showed magnificent human values like patience and forgiveness and flexibility in handling various situations related with the deaf life partner.
Try to keep the following points in mind when you aspire to have a normal hearing person as your lifepartner
1. You are just like a foreigner who always tries hard to get along with the people around. So always keen in learning the language around.
2. Utilize maximum effort in observing and understanding the clues hidden in lip movements, gestures, and sounds.
3. Always tries to merge with the hearing crowd after your formal education. Always have an inner urge to apply and watch what you have learnt for communication; see the outcome and correct it.
4. Strive to study and analyze the problems of the hearing majority and give a hand in solving any one problem. Put maximum effort to understand the momentum of the society and try hard to go almost in the same speed.
5. Always look for a person who can understand you and accept you fully who is flexible enough to walk in your momentum.
6. Constantly exam and introspect whether you could express your feelings freely and legibly to the public.
7. Merit yourself in communication with the hearing world and try hard to improve the track record.

What do most of the deaf prefer in marriage?
Surveys revealed that majority of deaf people prefer another deaf for a hand in marriage. Why do they prefer like this? There are many reasons which encourage a deaf person to select another deaf as a life partner. One of the main reasons is the easiness in communication and little mental tension. A deaf can understand another deaf far better than a hearing partner. They can communicate through the sign language. There are no barriers in communication. But if the spouse is a hearing person, in most cases he /she will do most of decisions leaving deaf as a statue having no work. This will make the deaf feel isolated and will deteriorate his /her creative ability. Socialization is another matter valued by a hearing impaired person. Man is a social being. He needs friends and associates for the betterment of his personal growth and also overcoming the various life struggles.
Will relative marriages cause deafness?
Recent studies underline the fact. Genetic deafness is mainly caused due to marriages between blood relatives. The Bible also supports the view which warns marriages between blood relatives even after the seventh generation. Born deafness can be largely controlled by preventing such marriages.Connexin 26 the gene behind the born deafness is traced by scientists. It is necessary to seek genetic counseling to evaluate the risk of hearing impairment in the progeny.
What kinds of jobs are available for deaf people?
Can the deaf do all the jobs that the normal hearing persons do? This common question prevails in our society. Many employers are not ready to give even a first chance for the hard of hearing people. Their resumes rejected with out even a question. This is mainly due to misconceptions about the hearing-impaired men. “Deaf people can do any job better than the normal people with dedication”; that is the reality. There are living examples of many deaf men glittering like stars in various job situations. Why do some employers show black face towards the deaf? We can forgive them as they are doing this by their ignorance. Smart hearing impaired people are working in various fields as Webpage Graphic Designer, actor, architect, chemist, biologist, carpenter, accountant, clerical worker, engineer, farmer, tool and die maker, writer ,financial consultant, gardener, draftsman, landscaper, librarian, mechanic, painter, printer, social worker, statistician, lawyer, artists, dentists, doctors, elected government officials, business leaders, engineers, mechanics, medical technician, park rangers, teachers etc.. This list is incomplete! If Ronald Reagan can become the president of America, who can prevent the deaf men from doing challenging jobs. Therefore, the deaf people should be confident as they can do any challenging job as the normal. Nevertheless, the aim should be clear and never miss the golden qualities like hard work, perseverance, and prayer.
Life - a vase of hope and joy !
Aim is same
God is glorious light
Behind the five
If you want to perceive Him
Blind yourself
Dump yourself
Deaf yourself
Still yourself
But sometimes;
God Himself does the same
To make Him more clearer to you
He may bind your eyes
He may cover your ears
He may silent your tongue
Or make you lay still fully
But Aim is same:
To come closer to you
And make you a part of His Glory.
