Fortunoff.com: A Unique Retail Store

Max and Clara Fortunoff founded Fortunoff in Brooklyn, in 1922. Soon after the success of their first store, they started off eight Fortunoff shops, all located under the elevated subway on Livonia Avenue. In 1957, Fortunoff added fine jewelry and watches to their stores. Today, Fortunoff provides customers with items such as fine jewelry and watches, antique jewelry and silver, everything for the table, fine gifts, home furnishings including bedroom and bath, fireplace furnishings, housewares, and seasonal shops including their outdoor furniture shop in summer and their Christmas Store in the winter.

On the online store of Fortuneoff, you can choose from their stores such as jewelry, home store, tabletop & giftware, etc..., the list goes on and on. You can find the store list towards the top of the page. To find what you are looking for, you can use the hierarchical department list located on the left-hand side of the website's pages. These categories are breakdowns of the major departments listed on the website, which will lead you to the individual products. In some departments, you will also have the ability to search by a manufacturer or vendor. Click on the department you want to shop in.

You can also use a keyword search to find the item you want to buy. You can find a window under the navigation banner; just type the item you are looking for and click on the "go" button, that's all to it.

Once you have located the item(s) you are looking for, enter the quantity you want and click on the "add to shopping bag" button. You may review the contents of your basket by clicking on the "view your shopping bag " under the navigation banner. Once you have selected all of your items or have finished your shopping, click on the "checkout" button located under the navigation banner. Once you have started the checkout process you will be asked for your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address (optional but required to receive confirmation updates). If you register with them, then for future shopping sessions, you won't need to enter your personal information again. After entering all these, you will be asked where you wish to ship your purchase.
