The phenom that is webkinz has gripped the minds of our youth and kept them sitting down at their computers for hours on end. Parents all over the world are pulling their children off the computer hoping that this fad will end soon and they can worry less that www.webkinz.com is not ensnaring their little minds.
This is mostly due to the marketing efforts of a very youthful staff and their work has been near plaguing the web for other webmasters for some time now. I personally have run across references to the webkinz site in numerous areas of wikipedia that were debatable to use the Ganz site as a reference for many different subject matters. My own amateurish blog sites have been attacked by comment spam by some of these over-zealous marketers. However, after visiting the site, it is hard to be angry at a company that promotes stuffed animals as a way for your children to pass their free time.
For what it is worth, their marketing tactics aside, the site is definitely a safe place to drop your kid in front of and let them have a safe experience online. I would recommend the site to any parent.
