Citicards.com for Safe Online Card Dealings

Citi Cards is a part of the Citigroup Inc., which is one of the top global financial services, boasting of around 200 million customer accounts in around 100 countries all over the world. The citicard.com website is dedicated exclusively for citicard products.

I have been trying to pay my citibusiness card bill on line, but cannot find a website to do so. Every citibank or Chase site I find is trying to solicite my applying for another damn credit card. The only way I can pay is by phone and they want 14.95 to pay by phone. The Feds need to look at these scams your running. I will see if Senator Richard Shelby can have someone look into this matter. OK, so Citibank sent me a new card and told me to activate it calling the 1-800 number. The number isn't valid. So I tried the customer service. Same story. So I tried the old customer service number from my old card. No luck. Naturally my next step is to get online because they say they're going to cancel my account if I don't activate this new card. Here's another wrinkle. I, too, am trying to pay on time like a responsible card owner. I was able to navigate the site and input my bank information to make online payments. However, had I known that it would take so incredibly long for them to verify my bank information, I would have mailed the payment in. It's been over a week and they have not yet verified the information so it looks like I'm down to forking over the telephone fee to get it in on time. Why in God's name does it take more than 8 days to do something that everyone else that I give my bank info to can do in 1 business day? It's all extremely fishy. And extremely frustrating.

You're always sending new cards with new ways to earn more miles, however when you go to redeem these miles you can never get the flight you want. It has become harder and harder to redeem those accumulated miles. I was told by one American representative that because more and more people are booking flights on line that you need to book 330 days in advance to get the flight you want. That seems a bit excessive to me. So, of course offer more ways to earn miles because instead of using 30000 for a flight you need to use 60000. Very frustrating!!

I have tried to pay my citicard online for the past three nights, but it keeps locking up on me. I have tried the tech help line and they tell me to reset my data online which I can do, but it still won't let me pay. When it locks up, you can't access it for 24 hours. When I do get this paid, I am planning on cancelling the card, just because of the website circus. You have to have a Security work an online user id and an online password and three security questions. All of this makes it so secure that even I can't make a payment on it.

It is almost impossible to figure out how much money you owe on the citicards website.

The customer service supervisor implied that I am stupid for thinking that the Current Balance was the amount due on March 17th. This is an extremely confusing way to organize a web site (I have experience in web design). I also had trouble locating my previous payments on the website. I have closed my account as a result of the horrible website and the poor customer service. Others should consider doing the same.

I'd have to say CitiCards sucks worse than most CC companies. I made a payment to my account on their website last month for $300. They keep calling me to tell me they haven't gotten a payment. Luckily I printed out my receipt at the time. The 300 came out of my bank account immediately but they still keep calling me about it. This morning they called while I was at home and had the receipt nearby. I gave her the date and amount and offered to give her the confirmation number. She wouldn't take it! She tells me I have to call this other company which handles their online payments. She gives me an 800 number and says she'll connect me to them. I'm on hold for a short time and then I hear the phone ringing. After about a minute of ringing with no answer I hang up and call the number myself. I got a recording telling me the number was invalid!No doubt they'll call again in a few days (while I'm driving or at work) and we'll have to start this whole stupid cycle all over again. What a pain. Nothing like great customer service.

When I can unjumble the mess I get into when I use a remote computer as opposed to my systedm at home, the On-Line action is precarious. Thanks to some of your customer assistance people I'm eventually able to get through and satisfy my curiosity about my purchases. Thanks a bunch!

I have had an American Advantage Citi card for several years. I now have more than 100,000 miles to use for travel but can never get a seat on a plane. I'm told that there are no seats available or there is a 5:00a.m outbound with no return available. I have been charged $50 each year for this ( service?) Also, the year end summaries are never sent out until March of the following year which does not give the accountants time to complete the tax returns by the deadline. Why is it that American Express can get their summaries to their customers in January ? Would appreciate a response.

The Citicards company appears to be either inept or uncaring of its customers' needs. Either way, this is completely unacceptable. If it must make the online payment system so convoluted or impossible, then it should, in all fairness, provide free over the telephone payment service with timely updating of the payment records. Is it possible that such incompetence is nothing but a ploy to add "late payment" fees and increase interest on accounts? Or could it be a "be kind to the U.S. postal service" plan so that customers are only too glad to go back to using regular mail and, perhaps, even be "late" on their payments?
