About 3 weeks ago I joined myLot.com because I was led to believe that you get paid to ask and answer questions,this is my review of the site.
From the moment you sign up for myLot you are free to take part in discussions,you can start a discussion of your own or you can enter someone else's discussion,for each answer you give to peoples discussions you get paid as you do for each question that you post.
First of all you go to mylot.com and sign up this is very easy you give a screen name your name your paypal or egold email address and a password,then you are sent a confirmation email where you click on the link to confirm that the email address you gave is a real 1.
Now you have signed up,you can edit your profile and add your website if you have 1 in edit profile you can choose a color scheme for your profile page it is easy too but be very careful not to make your page unreadable by choosing a neutral colours.
when you go to your profile page you will see at the top discussionsi have started,discussions that you have responded to and my best discussions,and you are ready to begin.
First of all myLot has just been revamped and the site is a little more difficult to navigate than it was from your profile page click on the mylot logo now look under your picture for the navigation you can either start a new discussion, or answer other peoples discussions which i think is a good place to start as it gives you a feel for the site.
Thats about it you get paid about 5 cents for a question you ask so long as you get some answers.you get about the same if you answer a questionbut if you dont add tags to the discussions it seems like you dont get paid at all,after you have gained enough credit points you will be able to copy and paste your questions and answers into the discussion board.oh when you have 500 points you can add pictures to your discussions which i think you get 1 cent for.
drawbacks of myLot, myLot is still in its infancy being only a couple of months old,the site isn't properly monitored and scammers are everywhere with their get rich quick schemes,people ask the same questions over and over again and it can take along time to find a unique question,because you get paid for answering questions too you sometimes get stupid answers to your questions. there are alot of spammers trying to advertise other sites too.
The Verdict.
myLot is a good idea handled badly,alot of work is needed before it will gain in stature.and the site would improve tenfold if monitored properly,get rid of the scammers and the spammers and you would have a useful site. on the money side they pay out when they say they will no excuses needed.
at the moment I would rather use yahoo answers for information when need it ,and use mylot for the trivial stuff to make a little money.
out of ten I would give myLot a 4 it would be less if they didn't pay out like they do.

This appears to be a website accommodating the D's and E's of society; a really let-down website for those who have an IQ of around 100 and whose daily thoughts rarely manage to rise above their navels. Now, I have nothing against people living on the 'sub-continent' but the verbal garbage that emanates from India is totally underwhelming. I'm from Australia, and if the content I've seen, on this website, is any indication as to well-being and potential development of that country, then it's going to hell in a hand basket! Lift your game!
You have missed a very important point in your review. Mylot does not have any system of communication between members and management of Mylot. No body knows who are the owners of Mylot. In modern management, an effective communication system is a must and Myloy lacks in this area.
I agree with alastair I think only people who knows how to ask good questions, comment good suggents or points when you post in mylot. Are you one of them or your questions and comments are just one liner just for stupid morons? I am a member of mylot and very satisfied. Thanks and Godbless!

I've been a member of Mylot for fifteen months, and I estimate it to be the best paid discussion site, ever. I also consider myself to be reasonably intelligent, and helpful to those who wish to learn something which I am familiar with. I disagree that it is full of unintelligent discussions and responses, and feel that those of you who pull it down, either haven't bothered to look for the best discussions, add the right friends to your friends list, or contribute anything intelligent yourself.
I have contacted Mylot Admin on several occasions, have received either prompt responses from them, or prompt correction to my faulty areas. The only time I failed to earn the minium, was the first month, before I managed to get to know my way around the site. Now, I move around the site with ease and earn between $30 and $60 a month, which is paid very promptly and efficiently into my Paypal account.
I would say, if you can't be bothered to put the work in then Mylot will not acknowledge that work. Why should they pay you for Question/Answer type discussions, when you're not fulfilling your promise of starting and keeping a discussion going. Many of the members don't even know what the word discussion means, and are looking for something like Yahoo Answers. If you want a bad site, with unintelligent members you should try that, because Mylot is worth 1000% of Yahoo Answers.
Yes, I'm biased because I'm a very satisfied member, who doesn't intend to leave the many caring, knowledgable, intelligent friends I have made there. If you can't be bothered to try it and put the work in guys... don't join!

I too, am a satisfied member of mylot. But I don't think of it as a site to make money. As far as the comparison to Yahoo answers, it seems to go back and forth. The best thing to do to get a question answered is to post it on both Yahoo and mylot. I have put a question on both. sometimes I get more helpful responses from mylot, other times, Yahoo. I agree with you 100% about the discussions. Some are bad. Some shouldn't get posted and many of them shouldn't get paid and probably don't. What makes mylot interesting is, you get people from all walks of life there. And just like you can search for a topic here, you can search for past discussions on mylot.
I signed up to MyLot a while ago - I think it's a great site! I spend a lot of time on forums anyway, so I might as well get paid for what I enjoy doing...
Some of the 'community' are less than articulate, but it takes microseconds to ignore them. And sometimes - you actually get a worthwhile discussion!
I've been a satisfied member of mylot for over three years now. There have been several months that I wasn't active though because mylot does take up a lot of time if you want to make quality responses and start quality discussions. It might not be one of the fastest earning sites, but for those who like to make friends and discuss a lot of different interests it's proberbly the most honest and fun moneymaking site around.
There are indeed discussions that are less than articulate, but I agree these can easily be ignored. Search for your own interests and make friends.
The mylot tasks are nice too. I did over 70 mylot tasks and made over $120 doing so. They earn faster than posting discussions but they aren't allways available and you'll need to put more time into it.
