I am a member of Netflix, so I have full access to their site. This is what I like:
- The navigation is easy and consistent. There is a basic template that stays static on each page.
- The homepage is clean and simple.
- The fly out features are great for navigation and movie information, much better than at www.blockbuster.com
- You can purchase DVDs
- There's a critic's choice feature
- You can move around your queue order easily.
- They give you solid recommendations based on your past orders and preferences.

What I don't like about Neflix com:
- They don't have enough volume of their DVDs. Many of their new releases aren't featured because there already is a long wait of users wanting to rent them. I'm not sure if Blockbuster has this problem, but it's annoying.
- I have to go to other sites to browse upcoming releases
Recommendation and Rating
Recommendation: I like Netflix. I live in a big city so the movies arrive in a day and the site is simple and effective. It blows blockbuster.com out of the water. If they had a better "New Releases" feature, it would have rated higher.

How do I put movies on my Q in Netflix if they aren't out yet?
I have netflix, and so far, I love it. People that are having problems with the movies playing should let netflix know right away. They respond quickly, and go out of their way to get a movie you want if they don't have it, no matter how rare or hard to find it is. I think that people that keep getting movies that are damaged either;need to clean their dvd player, or the area they live in has people that aren't taking care of movies or something. LET THEM KNOW about problems.
I was signed up originally on my home computer (Hane9@netzero.com). It was hit by lightning and I have not replaced it as yet. I am still getting movies but can't get into my account on Netflix)

Just adding my voice to those that are fed-up with damaged discs. I feel we should be compensated for having so many damaged products shipped to us. We pay your service in good faith. How about trying to live up to customer service rather than just grabbing profits? I think these e-mails are simply deleted and the lack of any other contact form is unprofessional. I like Netflix, no big complaints, but today I can't seem to get into my queue. The first DVD player we bought was crappy though not cheap, most DVD's (from Blockbuster at that time) would freeze, very annoying. The guy at Best Buy said to get a Toshiba, so we did, it was not expensive, and we've had very few problems since. I did have one DVD that wouldn't play recently, my son cleaned it, and it was good to go. So I think the player matters alot.

I have yet had success trying to get on the home page by typing www.netflis.com . it takes me all over and i get so disgusted and it just keeps happening and when i finally get on i do not remember how i did . My son gave me a three month gift subscription. When the three months had passed I assumed that I had no obligation to Netflix. Much to my surprise I learned that Netflix, without authority from me began to bill me as if I were a member and my wife paid the bills without my knowledge. Netflix billed a credit card that I had used when I did have an account that I cancelled long before the gift subscription I received from my son. In my opinion, Netflix is dishonest.

It takes THREE days for a movie to get to my house. That's BS when the netflix redemption center is less that 150 miles from my house! Another gripe... I have been getting a lot of DVD's that won't play. By the time I return them and get another DVD.. it's 6 days! We should be compensated somehow! How come their employees don't work Saturdays????
I am having trouble getting on to the site, it gives me a 501 error. When I finally do log on I must add a new password. This does not work either, just trying to get onto my queue to arrange my videos for viewing. Please correct this problem. Also, have had several videos that will play until the very end. It is very disappointing to get to the very end of a movie only to find out it will not play. Then I must wait for you to send another to watch the last 15 to 20 minutes.

Yes--Netflix has real problems sometimes with website being inaccessible. Very frustrating.
I too have been unable to access my Queue for several days which is very frustrating. Please correct this - I see it is a big problem for lots of us. FYI I also received the front flap of a DVD with note from Post Office that is arrived damaged and without the contents. I don't think I am missing any DVDs so am not sure what happened there. I see someone else had that problem.
I had this same proble, loggin on. Said to turn on cookies. That wsn't the problem. I found McAfee was! I added netflix.com in the Privacy Service, cookie tab and wala, I got right in. I hope this helps anyone who has McAfee.

i have been very happy with my membership,but i too have received several damaged DVDs. but i believe it was damaged in the mail. netflix has been very good about correcting the problem. we recently received a damaged replacement DVD, i reported it, but i coud not explain the whole situation in the damage report. the disc was cracked in the middle of the disc; so we were able to view the first half of the program so we did not request a replacement. thanks, netflix for your help in remedying this problem. your cooperation is much appreciated
Everything was going great until recently. Movies were on time and no problemo. I was happy and looked forward to watching a good movie. If you have ever been burnt by blockbuster on some BS fee. Or some BS expired card policy. OR JUST WAITED IN LINE looking at crappy bags hydrogenated oil, you relish in the success of netflix as much as I do. Everytime I drive by the EMPTY blockbuster parking lot, I laugh OUT LOUD! HA! The only person I feel bad for is the postal employee that has to hand deliver everyones dumb movies. Oh and the really good local vidyo stores that cannot handel the loss in business. oh, and the local cinima too....hmm

Wow! I must be really lucky. I have belonged to netflix, Twice in the last year and a half and i have had nothing but good luck dealing with them. I get 9 movies one week and 6-7 the next! I had two movies the end of the DVD wasn't two good and i just put a note so they would know it. So nobody else would get it. I've loved Netflix for 3 years now, butI was contemplating switching to the Blockbuster plan because it is a better deal considering they let you take movies back to the store and check out new movies while the next movies in your list still comes. You technically can have more movies out at one time for the same $17.99/month.
I did not switch though because Blockbuster does not have nearly as many movies of the more obscure genres. For example, Blockbuster did not even have the most common of my favorite Foreign movies. They are a little better w/ Independents, but still not even close to Netflix's selection.
Netflix is the way to go for selection.
