my name is fawad .i used to like nike goods but now i would never prefer buying any nor advive any of my relatives or friends to buy any of its items

i bought a pair shoe from Harisburg (u.s.a) in 2001 for $75 which was too costly for me to afford but on my persistant request my father agreed.although my father was advicing me to buy some other brand shoes like reabok as he had a good experiance with them and they are quike cheaper as compare to nike

i felt ver ambarassed that day when i showed its condition to my father

sole has displace .foam coming out and many more complications which i encounter can not be written until and unless i send some of its pics to the authority concern

now the question comes of handling so let me explain u to my self

that iam not a sportsmen nor an athlete . i am medical student and has a busy schedule i wear them rarely when i go to park for jogging

i think i care it as it was precious to me but this process of decay happened so spontaneously that i could not explain myself

besides, my father wear a reabok shoe everyday and it has been with him since 8-9 years and is intact until now. he never went to the outlet for complaints nor has any trouble with it

and nike such a higly prestigious name give its life in just six yeras. iam lucky that it went of in just six years as i dont wear it regularly but what problems would be faced by those in future who wear them every day

if these are nike shoes made for

then why buy nike

i f i had listened my father i would not be facing this day .i wasted such a high price because of brand fewer

I saw the IPod shoe thingy at a runners demo and thought it was cool but none of those gadgets are necessary to run - all you really need is a good pair of fitted running shoes, which of course NIKE provides. But it has also been my (short) experience that you should go for the shoe that fits best, over the brand name. Still, if you are a professional runner and can afford the gadgets, you can make them work well for you, especially at the competitive level. But I just run for "fun" (even when it doesn't feel like it!) And of course you can use the "Just Do It" mantra free. (--;

compare cost of living in London  says:

Although Nike shore a very high quality, I still think they are very pricey and expensive to buy, considering how much it cost them to produce a pair of shoes in the third world.

I remember once about three years ago here in the U.K, there were a documentary program about Nike. The program documented a Nike factory in Bangladesh where they were responsible for producing Nike shoes. The program highlighted the darker side of multinational companies such as Nike do business in the third word. the program tracked a particular Nike shoe, the meteral of the shoes were flown to Bangladesh from abroad including the design. Then the shoe was built using local labour the despatched it to Nikes flagship store NIKE TOWN in London’s oxford street. The program makers estimated the whole process coasted Nike less the £7 UK pounds, that including materials, production cost in Bangladesh and the cost of shipping back to UK.

The final product, the pair of shoes was sold in the flagship NIKE TOWN store in London for around £125.00 UK pounds. That’s more the 110% profit.
