Hobbylobby Beckons Creative Minds

Hobbylobby can be said to be the last word in creativity. From terracotta earrings to scrapbooks to photo frames, the site has it all. There are two main sections in the site; shopping and ideas. In case you want to visit the store and get the things you want, you can check out the store locator option.

You can also find a hundred ideas to spend a rainy day indoors in the Crafting Projects section; from clay pot snowmen ornaments to butterfly clip on jewelry to something as simple as a Tie & Dye T-Shirt. The projects here are arranged according to season and category. Click any one of these- jewelry in category, for example, and you will reach a page listing a variety of interesting and exquisite jewelry projects. You can find clear and detailed explanations on how to make each one of these as separate PDF documents.

The site has something interesting as well as informative for jewelry designers. The Color Gallery page illuminates the various color combinations which can work for jewelry. The page categorizes the combinations into complementary, achromatic, triad and analogous. You can also try out various combinations yourself and see how they will look by clicking on the colors in the color wheel and then selecting items of jewelry for them. Thus you can ‘create' new and untried color combinations on earrings, necklaces, bracelets etc. here.

The section called scrapbooking ideas is another page which contains quite a few ideas on creating scrapbooks, which are arranged under heads like Birthday, Family, Friends, Holidays, etc. Under each section, you can find two whole pages of ideas.

The site also featured the products of crafts etc. which is a separate entity in itself. Crafts etc. also allows you to buy the product of your choice from a wide range. You can find a featured project here, complete with the instructions. You can browse through the online catalogue where the products are arranged under heads like floral, frames, home accents, Scrapbooking & More. You can pick and choose the area of your interest-art/candles/floral/jewelry etc. Under each, there would be sub-heads and categories. Or you can browse through the what's hot section featured in each page.

You can also check out the various offers featured under the specials section. The site also has a gift cards section where the various gift cards are featured which you can pick up from your nearest hobbylobby outlet.

The site doesn't have many advertisements featured.

I am secretary for the Regency Park Homeowners Association in Tulsa, OK. The Assoc. is hosting a gathering in our subdivision for all residents Sept. 8. The Association Board wished that I contact the main office to see if Hobby Lobby would be interested in providing some door prizes or other favors for this event. We would like to have a reply by this Friday, August 24.

I stopped by Store #3 and left a copy of our latest Newsletter. Should you wish to participate in this event Hobby Lobby would be recognized in the upcoming newsletter.

Thank you for your consideration.

I recently purchased 50 polyresin bridal frames as gift items for an upcoming event. When I checked out, the clerk did not wrap the frames so that they would not rub/touch each other. She merely put 4 or 5 on one piece of paper folded the paper over and put them in the shopping bag. Upon opening the frames, I discovered six had broken. I returned to the store in Daphne, AL today with my receipt in hand along with the broken frames to find that the store would not accept them because they were broken. I even asked to speak to the manager who also refused to take the frames back. I am very disappointed - there is nothing posted in the store regarding this policy. I would like to appeal this!! It isn't a matter of money so much as the principle of what occurred. It was not my fault the frames broke. The clerk should have done a better job wrapping them!!

Please contact me regarding this complaint - 251-621-1832 or via email.

The Holland Michigan store has rude employees, and long check out lines. They also have poor return policies. They do not have any sale prices in their cash registers, so you have to watch every sale to make sure you are not overcharged.

Very poor customer service !!

I use to shop at the Hobby Lobby located in Concord N.C.. I love the store but truly hate shopping there because of the employees. I would guess that I use to spend 50 to 75+ a month just at that store until one day..... I was paying for my items and had dropped a 20.00 dollar bill on the floor. I have a bad habbit of putting money in my pockets and when I check my pockets for money, the money falls out without me knowing. To get to the point I could not find all my money so I used my debit card that was in my purse to pay. I happened to look down and move my foot to see the 20.00 dollar bill that I had just dropped. I looked up to see an employee (another cashier) running to pick that bill up before I noticed, when I bent down to get it, she, the cashier poorly played it off as if she just rushed to get something behind or beside me. I was really mad and just stared at her, she never looked at me. This leads me to believe she would have taken the money. I consider this as shop lifting from the customer. She could have spoken up and informed me of dropping my cash on the floor.

I also disliked having to pay very close attention to the cashier and my receipt. I find it easier to take my own calculator and add the items up with the coupon, for example the coupon for 40% off all Wilton items. I have had to get them to correct the item price everytime I use that coupon. I wish Hobby Lobby would update their registers and improve customer service, I truly miss shopping there. I drive out of my way to go to AC Moore now. Please feel free to contact me.

You can print Hobby Lobby coupons from www.hobbylobby.com, they will/should have the 40% coupon every week when it is closer to Christmas.
